I’ve been going to Dr. Chaks practice most of my adult life or aprox 25 years or better and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else . Her office will get you in at last moment which I do all the time with my illness and there hasn’t been one time that I couldn’t get in to see doc either the same day or the next day . She always listens to my complaints, I never feel rushed . I think some of the people complaining here are people that didn’t get what they wanted and got upset because yes Doctor Chak won’t sugar coat anything , she will get to the point and always tell you the truth even if it might hurt your feeling a bit but, my opinion it’s tuff love . I love her staff they habe always help me promptly and go out of there way to help if necessary. Overall I won’t go anywhere else if I can help it beside sometimes needing a Specialist . Dr Chakrabarty is a great doctor and I’m grateful that she’s my Doctor!! A yr ago she saved my life after the ER missed a major bowel issue basically kinda blockage 3 separate times and Doc got ahold of the right specialist the next day sent me there by stressing to him I needed to be seen right aways with appropriate test last and I had emergency surgery that saved my life because I ruptured on the table and most likely that day or next would of happened at home which going septic would of killed me. It’s a story but , after seeing some bad comments I had to add my good comment and that Doctor Chak is a wonderful , super smart Doctor that saved my life and also both my Parents lives prior , her knowledge and fast tracking — (making immediate phone calls ), us to the right people in the hospital under urgent needs saved us . Forever grateful and if you need a great Doc then this is the place to go in my opinion !

I like Dr. Chakrabarty. It is also wonderful to have a PCP who also specializes in women’s health. She is thorough and follows up with you herself on the phone. I have never had a doctor call me about test results, it is usually the office staff. Thank you Dr. Chakrabarty.

Excellent, caring physician

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. The most horrible Dr in Shamokin and Coal Township. She was supposed to do a televisit appointment with my husband. She never called My husband called and left several messages and never a response. She had stopped refilling all his meds including his insulin. We have switched Dr.'s and just with one visit the dr. has done more for us than Dr. Chakrabarty did for us in the 18 years we have been going to her. She also tells lies about area pharmacies and their employees. She states the the other pharmacies are uneducated and unvaccinated. This is not true. She is a very unprofessional Dr. Not worth the time seeing her.

If I could do no stars I would. This dr is horrible. She treats patients like they are beneath her. She is very egotistical, has no compassion and violates the HIPPA laws. She started off the visit by screaming at me and my spouse for no reason and when she went out to the nurses station she was yelling about me where everyone in the office could hear everything about myself which violates my privacy. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! She ended up prescribing me a medication that almost put me in the hospital due to her negligence and incompetence. Luckily I found another dr that takes care of patients properly and I will never return to Chakrabarty. My new dr told me that Chakrabarty was harming me with the incorrect prescription.

I would never recommend this Dr. to anyone. I have never felt so judged and belittled by her and whatever nurse was on staff at the time. My family Dr. at the monent is on vacation and this office is covering his patients.......Anyway, I needed a change in medications today if I were allowed. I am 28 years old and was diagnosed with cervical Dystonia when I was 25. Dystonia is a very painful movement disorder.....I traveled from Beaufort, SC to Valley View, PA, to Toledo OH, to receive Botox injections from a doctor was was finally able to give me relief. Before I found this doctor I had no where to run to! Nothing else can be done!.....Long story short I ended up getting hooked on pain medication. The moment this doctor found out I was on suboxone her deminor changed instantly, I couldn't even tell her a brief story of what was going on! All she thought I wanted was medication behind my doctors back....I just want to say thank you for making me feel this way and worse about my situation......there are still some good people out there who have actual medical issues. I suggest you stop judging so quick........

This place deserves less than one star. I would not recommend this provider or her staff to anyone. If you are looking for an organized, helpful and prompt office, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for kind and courteous staff, this place is not for you. If you are looking for a doctor without an ego complex, this place is definitely not for you.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and go somewhere else!
