Firefly Playground

Uodate:2023 the park is still amazing and we still love coming here every time we are up visiting. My son has such a great time here.

Such a amazing park!! The people who greeted us at the gate were so nice and helpful. This was such a great place to play for my son who is two. So much room to run and the playground was just the right height for him. Also the best part was it had a lot of shade! Which was great with this heat wave. Can't wait to take him back again. Loved it!

Best park I've ever visited. Came with my 3 year old son. Love it. Big, lots to do, shade, a nice breeze... Splash pad... Bathrooms, sand box. Just wow. Will be back, drove 40 minutes to get here. So worth the trip.

I just mentioned a bunch about this place on my review of Airport Park. This place is great. They have this splash pad and everything is new. They have a great sandbox and slides and swings. Its great. It does cost a dollar per person if you aren't a Matamoras resident but its worth it. The place is busy but not packed. The people are always nice and there hasn't been any issues I've seen yet.

Beautiful park and set up! My son loves the splash pad and the excavation pavilion the most. It is wonderful that we can eat, play on the playground, run to the water to cool off and play with sand and trucks all in the same place. Kids of all ages have fun here. We will definitely become regular visitors.

Awesome playground for the kiddos

Love this park! Here are some updated changes since my last visit... A mask must be worn upon arrival, then it may be taken off. The park is open until 5pm but, the splash pad is closed for the time being due to covid. The concession stand is closed and also, no outside food is permitted. Bathrooms are still open to the public.

This was a great place to bring my family to. My daughter loves this park and the wife and I felt safe allowing her to run around and be a kid. The park is fenced in and has a lot for kids of different ages to do. Had a wonderful time playing with my daughter and liked how clean it was.

I love the Firefly Park it's a bigger Park than airport park

Can't find a better park then this place. Not one complaint. Love that it's fully fenced in. So much for kids to do. Water pad for the summer time. Unique park and toys you never see. Ssnd box is set up for parents to sit there and watch kids comfortably. Great park

I already reviewed this in the Airport Park review. This is worth the $1.00 admission. That dollar keeps your kids happy and occupied. Or you could argue with the lady over a dollar and let your kids vandalize the neighborhood and turn into thugs. Put your dollar to good use.

Well worth it to see them have fun. Place was clean and people friendly.

Great park space. Be aware that dogs are not allowed, and there is a $1 per person admission if you are not a member. Food is available at the snack bar during regular hours.

So grateful this park is right in my backyard! Definitely a benefit of being a matamoras resident! ❤👍✌🌈

My grandchildren loved it. The sandbox is amazing and huge. So much to do. I couldn't believe we spent 2hrs there and were never bored. They didn't want to leave.

Went there with my daughter to take my granddaughter and she loved it...so many different rides for children....She really enjoyed it...she's 2 1/2 years old and so did we..it's their 2nd time visiting the park...It's beautiful! Congratulations on such an awsome park for children...Children are the hope of the World....

Firefly Playground is a Clean, kid fun, fenced-in local park with playsets for all ages and benches for the guardians... My granddaughter's favorite park.

So much for the kids to do. There is a locked gate that you have to go through so less worries about children running into the road or being nabbed by a psycho. Well at least the psycho would have a barrier to get through. During the summer there are sprinklers for the kiddies to run through which is always a big hit.
