Ziolko Painting

I hired this '33 year pro to prep and re-stain my numerous outside decking. We used quality BEHR products.
In less than a year, the new stain began to peel right down to the bare wood. Mr. Ziolko came with a helper and spent almost a full day sanding and re-staining the affected areas.
Now in our second summer season after the original job, almost 50% of the horizontal deck surfaces are affected. A second call to and visit from Mr. Ziolko and his partner resulted in his denying responsibility, blaming the failure of his work on the previous deck painter.
I am in the process of taking legal action against Me. Ziolko, his partner, and his business. After completing the job, Mr. Ziolko requested I make the check out to his partner (wife?). I promptly did so. I'm convinced that Mr.Ziolko did this to avoid income taxes, liability for inferior work, or both.
Be careful if you're considering hiring this business for any of your painting needs.
As you can see, there is something not kosher about a 5 star Angi rating and my experience.
