Gilson Snow

I bought a starter board from Gilson in 2020 and loved it. Then bought 14 more boards and skis as part of a corporate event. Finally bought my most recent board from Gilson six months ago. At all stages of each process, Gilson provided an exceptional amount of personal touch and customer care.

The gear itself is super high quality and the art is so creative. I get complimented on my board art at least a few times per day when I'm on the mountain.

I also just like being a part of an American manufacturing story, with all their gear being made in their factory in Pennsylvania. The people who work there are salt of the earth and love what they do and I love supporting companies like that.

I absolutely love my board from Gilson. The unique edges take some getting used to, but once you figure it out, I feel they are superior to regular edges, except in icy or very hard packed conditions. This board rides good butters, boxes, rails, and floats through power almost as good as my full power board. One of the most interesting things I have noted is that I used to hate moguls, but for some reason this board's edges and softness have been perfect on moguls, and I now love to do moguls and tree runs on this board. I have 5 other boards from other manufacturers, and almost never use any of those anymore, unless it is very icy or deep powder.

I have been riding Gilson snowboards since 2016. Their customer service, quality craftsmanship and friendly attitude are what keep me coming back. Not to mention their boards are just flat out fun to ride! Buttering is easier with the soft edge and tilting just a little further than normal engages the metal edge. The first time I went to their factory they gave me a freshly waxed demo board to take for the weekend to my favorite resort! Pretty awesome if you ask me! This company genuinely wants you to enjoy your time on the mountain and their catch free design of the soft edge helps you do that.

I absolutely love my Gilson snowboard. The graphic is beautiful. Buying the board was an even better experience. Nick Gilson called me personally and helped me select my board while providing critical feedback to which board would best support my riding style. He even allowed me to switch the graphic from a different type of board to the current deck I ride on. I received the board promptly and I have absolutely loved it. I love the butter pad on the bottom because it just feels like the board glides better. Waxing it is a little more difficult and time consuming - but other than that I cannot recommend the board highly enough. Thank you Gilson team. I have never had a board this good. And now I’m sharing my love of snowboarding with my family!

Absolutely love my Gilson!! If you love powder you can’t go wrong with their powder boards. It feels like you’re surfing. It’s the best. The quality is top notch. I get compliments every time I’m on it. I tell everyone I can about Gilson!!

As a gift 5 years ago we bought my daughter her first Gilson snowboard. Not only did she get to design the graphics, the Gilson crew invited her to help fabricate it since we lived so close! My daughter still uses this board exclusively! The guys were fabulous, knowledgable and really showed their craft. Their story is from very humble beginnings. We would recommend Gilson to anyone looking to get into this hobby! Top notch group of people!

Boards that cater to every style rider the boards are great the people are even better! I purchased the holiday bundle and got the Undead board was great graphic and everything shipped quick. Price point for a shirt bindings and board was great. Team even made sure on the getaway trip that all the specs of the board and bindings were adjusted perfectly to my riding style. The Gilson team really treats you like you are part of a family. Great customer team attention to detail with everything. Nick Gilson is the man and has assembled the best snow experts. Nick called me up when I purchased my board to literally make sure it was exactly how I wanted it from the bindings to the graphic to the flex capabilities…even followed up with me after it quickly shipped to make sure I liked it. Super playful board with a ridiculous amount of flex and stability with directional control.

Gilson is the best! I wanted a snowboard for my husband but unfortunately it was sold out when I went to order. However, after a email, Nick at Gilson told me it was no problem to make another, gave me a discount, AND personalized it! The Gilson team is so amazing. They responded to emails within hours and were so helpful with getting the right size as it was a surprise. After you order they give you a link to see the progress they are making on your board too. Step by step from laying the print to the final wax and inspection and showed what team member worked on it. The board itself is beautiful and my husband loved breaking it in! It road just like it described on the cite and is awesome to hang on the wall when not in use! I cannot thank this company enough and can’t wait to get my next board from them too!

Everyone at the Gilson group was extremely kind and easy-going. I had a blast snowboarding with this group. The Gilson Team was well organized, planning several events for us to eat and socialize with others, and even allowed us to use some of their new boards, which I loved their new duals with flex in the middle. I would definitely recommend joining the Gilson group and I look forward to ordering my new custom design duals board from Gilson.

One of the best boards I have ever owned. When I was shopping for a board last year, I wanted something that was made here in the USA, unfortunately as far as snowboard manufacturers go, this is a rarity.
During my research I stumbled across Gilson, who makes their boards in the states. They had some amazing designs and the selection I was looking for with flexible boards that fit my ride style. I was wary of price, but I jumped headfirst and paired my board with a nice set of bindings. Having experienced the board myself I can say it is truly on a higher level of quality.

Also - I have never gotten so many comments on a board. I mean, just look at it.

I have been riding mine for a year now and it's the best purchase I've done in snowboarding by far! Got my board custom made last season. I was advised every step of the way about the status of the board. When I got it, it even came with a hand signed piece of the wood the board was actually made of!! I've had her for 2 seasons now and it's still as awesome as ever. I'm happy to support Gilson and I'm happy my board was made in the USA right in Pennsylvania.

I purchased a Gilson 2 years ago and it’s by far my favorite board that I have had. I’ve only had it out around 15 times. I previously rode a Ride and K2 and the freestyle rocker from Gilson is way more playful than any other board I’ve used. The butter pad is a lot of fun for playing around outside of the terrain park. I will definitely get another one in the future. Only downside with the flex is I don’t like riding it in icy conditions cause you feel everything in your feet but then again I never really like icy conditions anyway.
I also like that they’re a local company as I’m from PA and the cool touches like sending a cutoff from the board with the package when it shipped was awesome.

Love my Snowboard from Gilson and the whole buying experience. To start off everyone there is super nice and helpful. They let you know the status of your board and when its going to ship the whole time. The board is awesome and super fun to ride and a little more forgiving that my other board. Im 46 years old so a little forgiving is a good thing. Plus they make the most beautiful boards on the market.

Purchased custom designed skis as a birthday present and tribute to my boy's father who passed away. Everyone at Gilson that we worked with was extremely kind and helpful. Communications (both via phone and email) were answered promptly. The final design is beautiful and brought big smiles. Would highly recommend working with Gilson — the employees are down-to-earth, caring and have a true passion for their work.

The folks at Gilson are the best, you know the product you’re getting is going to be quality and made from the best materials and with a ton of pride in what they do. So happy with my Slayer board, I get 2 or 3 compliments every time I’m on the slopes. Nick has always gotten back to me when I email him with questions. I’m definitely coming back for another board next year. Keep up the great work Gilson!!! I added the Nidecker bindings this year and love them as well!

Absolutely love my Gilson snowboard! I purchased it three years ago, and it’s been nothing short of fantastic. Not only does it provide a smooth and enjoyable ride on the slopes, but it also receives compliments wherever I go. Great job with the custom design. The board rides amazingly. Recommend if you are wanting a custom to order it early in the off season. They do get busy. They are great about keeping you up to date with where your project is. Highly recommended.

Gilson Crew is great customer service and super high quality, hand crafted snow boards. The experience is much more similar to buying a surf board bespoke from a shaper, than buying something off the assembly line. Can’t wait to ride this Fly in the powder.
