Steep climb for the last portion up to the overlook but well worth it. The north loop trail north of the overlook is fairly overgrown in one section but the remainder of the trail is well-marker and easy to follow.

Amazing trail! I truly loved this hike! Stayed at triple forks campsites, and then hiked the rest of the trail, including up to the lookout the next day. Fairly easy hike, inclines are manageable, the final decent is a doozy, but I loved every moment in the trail.

The view is absolutely breathtaking. Definitely recommend a good hiking stick and plenty of water and possibly a good flash light in case you get stuck there at night fall

One of my favorite spots! The 6 mile north loop trail is amazing. Counter clockwise the trail takes you from the valley were the creek rests through the hillside with some spectacular rock formations. 3 miles in is the triple fork camping area with all kinds of flat land and firepits. Warning⚠, you will have to get your toes wet(unless you have knee high hikers or trash bags) if you want to finish the last 3 miles but you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the hills and the valley. If you decide you want to take the trail to the center(deerlick) of the loop you will be rewarded with what feels like a hidden treasure. Beyond the beaverdam swamp there is a campsite on the far side by the hill. However, I do see a few snakes from time to time so be mindful when stepping around. Give them their space. You're just visiting. The north loop does take about 3 hours to complete if you maintain a brisk pace. Overall beautiful trails, beautiful landscape.

LOVED this hike! It's labeled as moderate, but for two in shape people it was a pretty nice level of exercise. Was def breathing hardin some parts.

Dog friendly for adventure dogs! You get to walk through some really pretty caverns and rocks along the way.

Would reccomend going a bit earlier in October if you want to hit the peak season, but still gorgeous! Definitely a top hike for us.

Best place for hardcore trekking and backpacking. Best place for beginners and campers. A nice retreat for backpacker and campers in the middle of Allegheny forest. Caution - A very good benefit of being here is you can avoid annoying calls and cellphone rings. No network area!! Welcome to medieval times!

Wow that's a awesome view, and the sights are very impressive there. The north loop trail was challenging but worth it. The overlook can be accessed a little easier if you take the middle loop.

Great view from up above. Easy access to the overlook and no hardships getting to it. People are friendly too. Worth the hike to this point to relax and breathe.

I drove 2 hours to get here and it was well worth it. The trail is well made with enough trail markers to effortlessly find the path. There are stunning views of rocks, the creek, and from the overlook itself. I highly recommend this trail for anyone looking for a day of hiking. I did the loop in 5 hours while stopping multiple times for pictures and for enjoying nature. Be prepared to get a tiny bit muddy and also be prepared to cross a small stream. Best hike I have done. I cannot wait to come back!

Absolutely stunning overlook of the Allegheny forest. Highly recommend taking the middle loop shortcut on your way down.

This overlook is appropriately at the confluence of many of the trails in the Minister Creek Trail System. From here, a trip down the South Loop offers stunning scenery of giant boulders, tall trees, dense ferns, fluorescent mosses and other forest and geological features.

I have been hiking this since I was a kid over 30 years ago. Love it so much, its like walking to heaven. All the trees huge rock formations, caves and mountain views. I took mg son for the first time and he also loved it as much as i do. Not for the average hiker. Simple trails and steep at times. Highly recommended. You can do the short loop for a quick trip or the whole trip for a nice days walk.

One of the best hikes I have been on in a long time. North loop is long (around 7miles) so prepare by bring a backpack full of food and drinks. Some areas of creek are more difficult to cross depending on water flow. medium loop is a nice hike as well

The hiking is amazing! The views from the observation point are awesome. Absolutely breath taking. The camp ground connected is beautiful. There is a hand pump for water and primative restrooms. The creek runs through the camp and is a very refreshing spot to cool your feet after a long hike

We got to the overlook a little late in the day due to gps screwing up anywhere near this area so my picture doesn't do this view justice!!! It is quite the view!

This place is beautiful! Well, well worth the hike to get there. It's not for the beginner hiker, but it's not that hard either, depending on your level of fitness. It's uphill the whole way there! Take plenty of water as there is no water anywhere near the overlook. You can get water at the campground on RT 666.
