I LOVE bring in the woods and water and this place had both! We scouted out some hiking and kayaking spots for the summer. We can wait!

We live near the forest and love to visit as often as we can. Our dogs love to walk there. Peaceful and calm.

Absolutely stunning. Our family has been camping here every year since longer than I've even been alive (a tradition started by my grandmother). Leave it better than you found it and your time will be magical and beautiful ❤

One of my favorite views. There's no garbage on the hike so carry in - carry out...we always end up picking up garbage but nothing ridiculous.

When you needs your "woods" fix, the ANF is waiting. Beautiful scenery, waters, natural habits, trails... space... all in rolling Pennsylvania hills.

All of Allegheny is so beautiful. There are so many places to camp in a tent for free and just unplug and enjoy all this forest has to offer including Jayke’s rocks, devils run, Watkins glen, and all the waterfalls you will discover !!

Explored all day near Kinzua Dam, absolutely beautiful. Kids hiked some hills with waterfalls and we finished with some nature trails. Love this park, happy to have so much beauty close by to explore. Forest is very massive. You could easily spend a week going to the different areas and ending up in NY.

If you can't loose your every day state of mind and appreciate GODs creation here you need to ask GOD to take the veil off of your eyes. This place is extremely beautiful, rivels EVERY other park I have EVER been to. AJL5

We camp in the area every year. We have a cabin there. It's my favorite place in the world and if I could I would move here. Very peaceful and serene beautiful as well. Highly recommend a visit if you like the outdoors and camping. The fresh spring water from one of the many springs is, in my opinion, the best water I have ever drank. There is a variety of wildlife to view including eagles, black bears ( if your lucky enough to see some), and many others. Photos are of the Clarion River and Spring Creek just outside Clear Creek State Park in Sigel, Pa.

Hearts Content camping area has a playground and most every area around is dog friendly. So much to do out here. From the fishery where they raise trout to all the hiking trails. Kinzau reservoir is always fun!

We loved it, stayed at a family cabin. So quiet and peaceful. Dogs had a thoroughly wonderful time. My wife had to remove her own bluegill. What a blast.

Second time we traveled all the way from Bucks County PA to Allegheny. Both times an amazing experience. Love the nature and the peace. Only two things to note is poor signal and not an accurate map on Google. Some roads were closed and others weren't on the map. But what is a camping/road trip without getting a little lost. In fact we have discovered quite amazing places because we constantly kept getting off our path.

One of the most beautiful parks I've been to, though the mountains aren't large, it's certainly just as beautiful as Colorado, especially in October or November, Autumn in Pennsylvania is the most beautiful time to visit.

This trail is beautiful. We take our boy scout troop backpacking overnight every year. Easily doable and fun for even first year boyscouts! Take lots of water, or be prepared to filter. Lots of camping spots available at the top of the loop. Follow the stream down and you'll keep finding more.

Spent a couple days at the Allegheny Reservoir on a kayak camp trip. Very peaceful, besides the rain, but that just added to the adventure. I stayed at the Morrison Campground and launched from the Elijah Boat Ramp, both were clean and well maintained, I suggest picking up some firewood locally though as there was not much around the camp site.

Beautiful National Forest. Lots of hiking and mountain bike trails. There is a reservoir at the bottom you can rent kayaks, canoes and pontoon boats. We come every year!
