Just picked these up at Second Chapter Books! The proprietor Laurie McGinnis is wonderful. She is a champion of freedom and free thought who truly honors the values of democracy and capitalism.
She welcomes every customer who enters her business and makes you feel welcome like an old friend. Her book store is a welcoming environment of new and old books with a wonderful collection of unusual and unique items.

One of my favorite places to find a unique gift, card, or book. I also really love that the owner(s) is/are not afraid of books or beliefs that may differ from their own. I like stores that allows individuals to choose what content they would like to engage with in books and other items for themselves. It demonstrates intelligence, open minds, and respect for consumers which I greatly appreciate. Plus, it is just a super cute place with friendly staff and fun items!

This quaint store has a little bit for everyone! You can always find a perfect gift for someone. It is nice to have an owner not afraid to allow the consumer to make their own choice in what they would like to read. A must to stop and shop you won't be disappointed! The owner/staff are wonderful and friendly!

We love shopping at Second Chapter Books. The grandkids love picking out books (I think they picked 6 last trip) and toys. I love shopping for gifts for my favorite brother-in-law...and we love her cards, coffee mugs and other gifts. She is amazing and always willing to help find books or order books. We have a standing order for one particular series!!

This place is my favorite store in town. Laurie offers a lot of local made things that she sells for the local artists. She has everything from books, jewelry, cute clothing, soaps, and more. She is an amazing person and welcomes you with open arms. I highly suggest if you're ever in our cute town of Ligonier to visit her store. You won't be disappointed.

Second Chapter Books carries an interesting collection of gifts, decorations, clothing, candles and….books. From the youth sized “Yinzer” shirt, to a lace kimono cardigan I bought my wife, there’s something I. There for everyone. I’d be silly if I didn’t mention the best thing in the store…the owner. Laurie is always happy and helpful. Everything you’d want in a local shop and shopkeeper.

We just love Second Chapter books. It is my go to stop when my kids pick out a book for a friend's birthday, order books for book club and even find surprises I didn't know I needed...like super comfortable and fashionable jeans. The community is all the better because of her store.

Excellent shop! I love to browse the many unique gifts carried at the store and if a book I need isn't already available, I know that I can get it ordered in for me. Love supporting local small businesses and this one is a favorite!

What a wonderful place! Stopping here is like a trip down memory lane as it's a "second chapter" in her family's love of books, too. Thanks for making the neighborhood so special, and for carrying on the charming style with which "People of the Year" Wyatt and Nancy Young served so many.

This is my favorite store in Ligonier! When I have a little time to shop, I run over to Second Chapter Books! It’s has the best books & gifts for every age!
