Ray and Cathy are the best.. Go out of their way to help.. Everyone needs to remember state farm is a national company and set the rules for each office. Just like all bosses and companies do employees do not make the policies or the decisions.

We purchased a short term disability policy Kathy at this office. My wife clearly made it know that we were going to use this policy for a pregnancy. We weren’t expecting to have any complications.( to our knowledge) We also made it clear that if the delivery went well with no complications we would like to use this policy. Then Kathy made some calls and reassuring us that we would be able to use the policy. In May we had an issue and our policy lapsed. We had ZERO communication from State Farm. No notifications were issued until the end of June. So we call the office and no one could give us any answers. Next we called the corporate office of State Farm and was told that we could have it reinstated. ( There was absolutely no communication from Ray Nobles office) After we did all the leg work we got our policy reinstated. Next it came time to make a claim. We call Kathy at the office and told her that we had had our baby. She said she would make the necessary call to start the waiting period. After two weeks went by we decided that this office was not going to help us and we called the corporate office where we were told that this policy doesn’t cover this. This office scammed us for our payment knowing that we would be able to make a claim l. They are terrible people. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!

I'm going to be the first to tell you to stay away from these people!

I am beyond frustrated with them, and I want to warn you that they'll gladly take your money, but when you need help with anything - they'll turn you away and suddenly become difficult or impossible to get in touch with... or they'll say that it's something corporate must handle, and pass the buck.

In November, I contacted this office and inquired about a short term disability policy. I made it clear that I wanted to purchase a policy that would cover me and provide income while I took maternity leave from work. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant, and the company that I work for does not offer any coverage or payment options for maternity leave.

I spoke with Kathy, who needed to verify that their short term disability policy would cover maternity leave. She called me back, relatively quickly, stating that the policy could be used for maternity leave. A few days later, I purchased the policy, believing this to be true, and I didn't think to double check.

A week later, I found out that we were pregnant!

In May, an automatic payment was somehow missed... this is not their fault. However, I received NO notice about the policy lapsing at all - NO phone calls, NO letters, etc, except for one. I received one letter stating that I had until June 6th to make it right... The fun part? The letter wasn't even post marked until June 12th... 6 days after I could have made a payment to fix everything.

Long story short, after HOURS of being on the phone with State Farm Corporate, the policy was reinstated.

July 17th, our son was born, and the following Monday, I call Kathy to start the paperwork to start to use the short term disability. Kathy says that she'll start everything and call to let me know what she needs from me. Thursday, I have heard NOTHING, so I call her again to find out what's going on - and she says that the Corporate Health Department needs to speak to me, and that they will call me and that they should have by then...

I call the corporate health department myself, a whole week later (Monday) after hearing NOTHING... to find out that I am not able to use my policy for maternity unless I had complications from the birth... which they had told Kathy - who decided not to call me to tell me about it.

When we called and spoke with Mr. Noble - he denied any knowledge of the situation, Kathy and Lisa, left us on hold for 35 WHOLE MINUTES and then hung up on us when we needed to speak to someone to try to fix the situation... Kathy refused to speak to us because as Ray put it, "She is sensitive.

I'm telling you to run away from them as quickly as possible. This was entirely avoidable, and now I'm left fighting for a refund to try to take as much time off from work as possible to spend with my newborn son... because now, I don't get the leave that I had tried to plan for.
