Fantastic little coffee shop and wine bar tucked away in a strip mall. There is space to socially distance while waiting to order and outdoor seating. They have a curated selection of organic wines and beer and also serve coffee, lattes and food. The breakfast sandwiches sound amazing but I opted for the Quinoa, spinach, sweet potato bowl, which also has avocado, chickpeas, red pepper, and cucumber. The Thai peanut dressing really brought this tasty bowl together. All this together with warm, inviting interiors, and friendly and efficient staff make this place a must try!

Went in and got the porchetta sandwich. It was nice and rich, the peppers were a nice touch. Was helped by a Barista named Julie. Really nice, recommended the sugar cookie latte. Good cozy coffee shop.

Great coffee, great vibe and great service! Chris & Nicole, the owners have created a great atmosphere! They are now opening a jew shop on the same strip with cheese and provisions to compliment the wine.

Love this place. Happy they are doing biodegradable lids now too!

Edit: updating a couple years later from this original review. While I still am fond of this spot, it has gone through some changes and the business has expanded to sister locations. I am disappointed that, like many of my favorite coffee shops today, in the midst of an environmental crisis where not only is the whole world sizzling, boiling, and burning due to petrochemicals, but we are also drowning in single-use plastic. I am honestly annoyed that I order my luxury caffeine (iced oat matcha latte, large) and I pick it up at the counter and now we have already wasted a plastic cup and lid. I didn't ask for that, I didn't want to spend my order or my money on that. I hope that Chris, who I have really liked the times I've met him here, in the earlier days, or his management, do hear this rationale and make a tangible effort to change their ways.

Otherwise, I guess I have to resort to pointedly demanding a glass—as I can see them stacked behind the counter, clean and unused. It's annoying that I have to spend the rest of my life being a fussy eco-Karen but, I mean, what's the point otherwise? I have to deal with the burst of cortisol and higher heart rate which comes every time I toss an unrecyclable piece of plastic I used for 10 minutes into the garbage to be taken away to sit in a landfill, like all the other millions of pieces of plastic pilling up literally every single minute until the biosphere collapses entirely. I don't really think that being a capitalist and small business owner or an employee, or contractor grinding the grind is an excuse anymore.

World needs to know that this little heaven in Stamford CT has the best organic coffee! They brew a fresh cup for me for only $3.57 and I am so happy and grateful for their service. They also have a daily coffee card where you can get every 7th coffee free! So if you live in Stamford CT and like to buy coffee every day then please try their coffee and you will not regret! Also FYI they have a lot of other food and drink options other than coffee.

I moved from NYC to Stamford and what a relief to have an amazing coffee shop so close to me. The barista's are super friendly and sling some great coffee. It always smells so good when I walk in. They roast and sell their own beans as well. Which are also amazing and make a darn good cup of coffee at home. You can also pick up some beers or wine and snacks. The aesthetic is also lovely and comfortable. Can't wait to be able to sit here after the pandemic like the old times! Lastly, they are located in a convenient shopping area. You can pick up breakfast, lunch or bakery treats all in one trip. Thanks for the reliable service and amazing coffee. :)

Best cortado I've had in years since my local place on Long Island shut down. Friendly folks. Recommended.

Wonderful local coffee roasters and cafe that serves not only amazing coffee they roasted themselves but delicious food. The Porchetta sandwich is my go-to and perfectly paired with kombucha. Finish off with an expertly crafted espresso drink and pastry, and you have a lunch that is both Instagram worthy and tastebud worthy.

Clean and welcoming, coffee is great and the sandwiches are amazing. Nice place to work for a bit with a latte.

It’s called modern love now. Not sure if it’s the same company or not. Either way, I enjoyed this coffee shop very much. We were passing through on our way to Maine and it was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had! Wish there was one in my city!

I got a brown sugar latte and an almond butter oatmeal and wowww so good definitely will be coming back🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hands down the best coffee I've ever had, and I've traveled the world to drink it!

One of the best gems to come Stamford in 2018.

The little shop has a good vibe while providing very fresh good food selection for breakfast and lunch. But I can't tell you how good this coffee is, you just have to try it. It's roasted on-site and put directly into the machines to your cup. And the artisanal "seasonal" drinks are unique and delicious.

The owner, Chris, is humble and appreciative of his customers. But he also demonstrates a tremendous passion for coffee and the art of roasting. And I say art because if you engage him on it when he has the time to talk, he will show you the machine and describe the intricacies to create each roast with the same enthusiasm any artist would describe his craft.

To boot, every person who has handed me a cup there did so with a bright friendly composure and seem to remember the regulars. And even at it's busiest I waited less than the average Starbucks.

This business deserves the recognition to become long-standing staple of our little city.

I followed the manager from the now defunct Franklin Street Works Cafe. He makes the best Latte in Stamford. On my first trip, the coffee and service were great, even though they were slammed. I really like the decor and seating options as well. Great start!

Stopped in to see what they had in whole beans and I can't wait to get home to sample the Yemen Josh helped me choose. They take their coffee very seriously and their pride in their product shows. I also got to sample a latte made with Modern Love, and it is perfection: rich, silky and no acid or bite. Oh, they have pastries too. So glad they opened up close to my job.

Very nice and comfortable coffee shop. I really like they're selection of teas since I am more of a tea aficionado. Many pastry and sandwich selections. The chairs and tables are nicely separated so you don't feel jammed in. Service is also nice with plenty of parking.
