Great place to hike in if you're close to Tunkhannock. Multiple trails are available with varying difficulty. There is a gradual incline for the entire trail up the mountain. There's a fast mountain biking trail to then go down. Got to see different birds and a 3-ft long snake! There's a decent amount of raspberry bushes, blackberry bushes, rose bushes, and ferns. Terrain is either grassy, rocky, packed with dirt, or tree stumpy. 3.5 mi took us about 2 hours to hike with a slow pace and taking breaks in between. Would recommend to anyone for taking a break and getting lost.

Great place to birdwatch! And beautiful in a rugged, river style setting. I've walked several trails and wandered throughout the property and I truly enjoy the peace and solitude so that I can appreciate nature the way it's meant to be enjoyed. Leave no trace guys! Take care of the mother we all share! 🌏✌💚💙🌲🦅🐦🦉🪶

Peaceful place to relax along the Susquehanna River and hike or bike on the wooded trails on the Vosburg Neck. Leashed dogs welcome. We take ours swimming all summer. Also a good place to put in or take out a kayak.

Had a wonderful walk through the woods to the vista last week. Went just before sunset. The view is gorgeous and panoramic.

Great amount of trails. Home is being restored to immaculate beauty. Can have gatherings And also had boat access to the river. A great day it will be.. Head on over

It's a great place, but TOO MANY HUNTERS. They line the road with their trucks. Deer hunters, bird hunting. You can see than from the road. Not safe to walk.

Has challenging trails it's a work in progress but flows nicely and is a blast. Definitely worth checking out.

Always an amazing day at The Howland Preserve, been here about 50 times, only twice without Bald Eagles, woodpeckers galore in the winter. Beautiful place.

Tunkhannock is a borough in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, 31 miles northwest of Wilkes-Barre. In the past, lumbering was carried on extensively.
