The Capital Grille

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic valentines day dinner here. Once we arrived, we were seated about 30 minutes later as it was extremely busy. Ahmed, our waiter was amazing. He provided wonderful recommendations and was very attentive throughout the night. I highly recommend the lamb chops, lobster mac & cheese and ribeye. Everything was made to perfection. To end the night, we enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries and I was provided with a rose (such a nice touch for a special day). This restaurant is wonderful and we will be back soon. Shoutout to Ahmed for taking great care of us throughout the night.

So I was there on December 27 for my anniversary, and even with out reservations they were so nice to give us a table, and we were surprised when we go to our table and they put nice little decorations and a happy anniversary card on it, and it was more surprising when they give us two glasses with champagne to celebrate our dinner.
Good was spectacular, service outstanding, and our server Ahmed A. The Best 5 starts for him.

5 Stars even on a busy Valentine Day top notch service Stephanie was awesome and the food was amazing. Below Seafood Platter appetizer which I had for my entree. Hubby had veal tomahawk and devoured it.

Came here on the first date. What an amazing choice he made. The decor was beautiful and classic. The service was warm and inviting. The food and the quality was perfect. I ordered the lamb chops medium done. It was cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful and surprisingly portion size was pretty big which was nice for the price lol. My date ordered the 22 oz prime rib cooked medium rare. Also cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Sides were lobster mac and cheese and cream spinach. As I'm writing this review, my taste buds are watery. That's how good lol. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing and the service is top notch. The offera great variety of steak and seafood. The deserts are to die for.

This place has been here for a long time. We like their Grand Plateau (seafood tower) for appetizer but this time we opted for different starters since one of our friends can’t eat seafood. Tried their Nueske’s Cherrywood Smoked Bacon With Korean BBQ, yum. We still had their lump crab. We normally get the wedge lettuce with blue cheese and smoked bacon for salad, this time we got their Roasted Beet And Goat Cheese Salad With Crushed Pistachios And Citrus Vinaigrette which we enjoyed. For steaks we had filet and their Dry Aged NY/KC Strip Au Poivre With Courvoisier Cream. For side dish we enjoyed the creamed spinach and Soy Glazed Brussels Sprouts With Bacon. Our friend had the Sliced Filet Mignon With Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms And Fig Essence, which she liked. They also had Mac and cheese as a side dish and he said it’s really good. His steak was undercooked for his taste and the staff were quick to remedy that. Service there in all our visits have been great. We didn’t get dessert this time since we have a comedy show to catch, and it’s conveniently located across the restaurant. But our go to desserts here are their Classic Creme Brûlée and Warm Double Chocolate Cake With Port Wine Infused Cherries and Ice Cream. My photos do not do the food justice. We just couldn’t wait to enjoy it.

I enjoyed my visit. It was nice and clean. The waiter explained the special dishes and was very kind. The food was just as great as the service. You must try a steak. The desserts and drinks were good too. I had no complaints.

Great cocktails, perfectly done steaks, and service that was always pleasant and cordial. All things you would expect from a top tier steak house.
All seating was spacious and staff was always helpful. All of the food options were delicious. I honestly didn't have a complaint about anything. A nice treat.

The customer service was amazing! They took care of us with ease. The food was magnificent! We were surprised for our Anniversary a beautiful little dessert and champagne! They made it so special. Andres is the best person to take care of you there in Stamford. Thank you Capital Grille!!

My coworkers and I stopped by here the other day to get some quick appetizers before going into the NY Comedy Club Stamford, and it was awesome! Staff was patient and helpful. The place is elegant, and the food is delicious! We didn't have much time before our show started, and the food was out in no time!

Very pleased with the food, the service, the attention to detail and hospitality, coming to this restaurant made our wedding anniversary memorable and special. Definitely recommend!

Heidi at the bar provided an exceptional service. She made an effort to know our names, and check on our table appropriately. Our meal was fantastic. My husband and I rarely get to eat out without our children. So thankful we made an unplanned stop at Capital Grille last weekend.

I’ve dined at this location with my family on multiple occasions. It is a true fine dining experience. I usually get the fillet minion because I love their steak. Their wine selection is expansive with hundreds of options. It is pricey so bring your $$$ but worth the experience. Last time we came was for my sons birthday. It was a very special experience.

If there is a better place for steaks I haven’t found it yet and I’ve been to some of the best, including the consensus best in the world.

Try the signature porcini rubbed ribe eye and you will be amazed as long as you don’t overcook it. Medium rare in the photo was melt in your mouth delectably delicious.

The Brazilian lobster tails are out of this world too.

This was absolutely a great experience. The food was fantastic, the drinks were just ok. The service that we received and the amount of detail that was paid was really appreciated. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. They made it special by small touches such as a note, confetti on the table, free glasses of champagne and free mini desserts. I really appreciated the small touches added to make the night special. The food was outstanding. I got the ribeye and south african lobster tail (yum) 😋 My husband got the ribeye and sautéed spinach. We will definitely return

I’m a regular at this location and I can’t express enough how much I enjoy every time I dine there. Beautiful restaurant, amazing wine selection, the service is top notch professional ( Eric is the best for sure) and last but not least you can’t find a better steak in CT area. Crab cakes are the best I ever had!
Mark the manager is very professional and is always making sure we have the best experience.

I've been to several Capital Grilles.
The 1 in the Chrysler building was lacking in the service dept, but the food was great as per usual.
Capital in Stamford, imo has the best service.
Washington DC also had great service.
Providence Rhode Island also had good
service.
The food is always delicious no matter which Capital Grille you decide to dine in.
Highly reccomend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had an incredible dining experience at The Capital Grill - The food was excelente, especially the unbeatable sauce. The waiters and manager provided excellent customer service. Can't wait to go back!

Went here for my wife’s birthday, The food was awesome! Steak was tender and juicy, Mac and cheese was delicious 🤤. I definitely recommend anyone come here for a good dinner. You won’t be disappointed

I can’t even tell you how delicious this tofu is I keep coming back they also switch it up so it’s not always the same texture density or flavor profile or tofu style. It has the fundamentals but they delight by slight variations of delicious. Today was salty and lightly peppered and soft with a savory baked on sauce on top and wonderful tofu with shiitake my one flaw is I never remember to take picture immediately as I eat it up hopelessly also I wanted pumpernickel bread and they freshly baked it for me even though it normally comes hours later the service was blind and friendly all around so happy and so yum
