One of my favorite places to eat in Norwalk. During the summer months you can find me here once a week… They have the best bar food in town! Try the clam chowder, lobster sliders, chicken wings or fried calamari, you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and a drink. The place is casual so it’s a good place to stop by for food and/or a drink. They have a good selection of food and there’s a full bar. It’s a pretty cool atmosphere as it has the feel of a bar/ pub from years ago. They have indoor seating, bar seating and outdoor seating. It’s in a good location as there’s shopping on both sides of the street and the Aquarium is across the street.

Great little pub in downtown South Norwalk (I believe it's one of the oldest continuously operating of its kind in town). Their menu is top-notch and I think their burgers are arguably the best in town, coupled with excellent french fries. I also love their chili, though I know their clam chowder is highly ranked and well-regarded as well. Wait staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. They do have outdoor dining options as well, but you might want to phone ahead to make sure.

Good experience! Onion rings were good. Lots of items on the menu and it all sounded great so it was hard to decide on what to get!

I traveled to Norwalk with friends who were performing at Oyster Fest and collectively, we ended up at Donovan's about five times in the span of a week. The atmosphere was nice, the inside was comfortable, and the staff was running around working HARD, every time we were there. We sat both inside and outside with plenty of room and a comfortable spot each time. The drinks and food were very tasty. Between my group of friends and I, we tried the chowder, shepherds pie, the chili, a burger, a steak and cheese, the chicken parmesan sliders, French fries and buffalo chicken. The crusty bread on the sliders was excellent but I think the buffalo chicken was our favorite part. This restaurant was conveniently located on the corner of a street that had other restaurants too. We had never been to Norwalk but it was a great experience for us! I would recommend it and when we are in the area again, we will be back! Thank you.

Love it with bacon and blue cheese! Great beef or chicken Philly cheese steak. Service and friendly pub atmosphere is terrific.

Beautiful vintage restaurant/pub with photographs of boxing's history for aesthetic value. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. Food was great! Had spinach dip & housemade chips and a clam chowder for appetizers. Blackened mahi mahi Sammy, onion rings and 6 BBQ wings. Dip was hot and melty. Chowder was chock full of clam and creamy! Blackened mahi Sammy was flavorful and NOT dry which is a common issue with blackened meat but I wanted seafood and I was pleasantly surprised. Onion rings were excellent and I loved how thin and crispy they were, like they flattened the onion ring before breading it. The wings were big and crispy and I am certain that the BBQ sauce was house made as well as other sauces that came with the onion rings. While there are many eateries in the area, I would most likely return to Donovan's in the future.

Great spot to stop by for a few beers and some food. The lobster rolls are amazing.

Had the pulled pork and cheese steak sliders. The pork was good, wasn't crazy about the sauce on it but it was still good. The steak however was delicious. The cheese was perfectly melted and mixed in with the steak and onions. I also had the mac n cheese balls which were decent. I'm glad I got them but probably wouldn't order them a second time.

This place isn't great for groups of 7+. The biggest table when I went could only sit 6 people.

Great food, and who doesn't love an Irish pub? Burger was cooked perfectly, beer was cold.

My go to in Norwalk- probably eat here once or twice a week! The onion rings are great. We always sit outside and the staff are very accommodating and friendly which makes the whole experience even better !! We love the chili nachos, mashed potatos, clam chowder and the sliders! A fun stop with friendly staff and good drinks if you’re in the area! Also dog friendly if you sit outside!!

Wow cute place! Service was top tier! Food was pub style but tasted great. Stopped here on a road trip, only restaurant open on the street! Next time we will stop there on purpose!

This place was a great pub to eat at. My wife had the chili (amazing flavor) and veggies. I had their beer battered fish and chips. They have one of the thinnest beer batters I've had in a long time! Fish was tender and the batter crispy. My only boo was there was not enough coleslaw! Great atmosphere and the service was amazing. Will be back when we come through again.

Best burger for miles and miles. Great bar and selection of beers and service is what you hope for; friendly and professional. My go-to when I want to satisfy my burger or pub food craving. And thank you, Donovan’s for firing up the heaters so we could dine al fresco on New Year’s Day. Most appreciated.

This is a bar that happens to have some really good food at good prices for the neighborhood. Clam chowder was awesome and a Southerner in our party loved the ribs.
