The Spread South Norwalk

Aug 2023 our 1st time here, and it was late in the evening. Immediately upon entering, it felt like a European venue. Rustic, casual, comfy, yet great quality food and superb service. The drinks and food came out fast and everything was on par.
March 2, 2024 came back around 4pm and once again, great service, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly.

What an amazing Brunch!!! We booked a reservation, in advance, for a baby shower. 12 people. We were inside/outside in the greenhouse. Family style brunch, we were all impressed with the food quality, verity, and the drinks!! So good. The staff was friendly and professional, which made our day!! To The Spread, We Thank you. We, as nurses don’t impress easily, we will be back. Great Job!! 👏👍❣

The entire team at the spread made sure my wedding was the best day ever!! They did a fantastic job creating the most decadent charcuterie display, unique passed apps, family style seated lunch, a BEAUTIFUL Bloody Mary and mimosa bar and even a coffee bar!! I had guest calling me the next day saying they had dreams about how good the food was.

Went for brunch - had the breakfast burrito w/ home fries and BLT (subbed fries for home fries). Food was awesome - possibly the best home fries I’ve ever had; each cube had the perfect crisp. Got a bottle of Corona for $6 and a coffee that came with steamed milk. The service was amazing. I had some beer overflow that I wiped with my napkin, and a waiter came out of no where to wipe the table and give me a clean napkin. The outdoor seating has a great energy but also relaxed and spaced out to easily have a conversation without shouting. 👏

Must add a positive review for another great experience at The Spread, and my first formal meal there. Do not sleep on the tagliatelle verde! The whipped ricotta and red pepper flakes are the perfect combination of comfort and kick. Wonderful meal!

The Spread is a perfect combo to go on a date or to gather with friends. Their layout provides the flexibility of both !

What makes this place stand out is its various menu options. I love the fact that they offer a assortment of plate sizes. I personally never finish my meals when I go out to eat. I find the portions either too big or just too much of one flavor. I always prefer tapas type restaurants, only the small plates seem too small of a portion (and too expensive for the portion offered). However, the Spread provides a plethora of different flavors in their endless list of dishes. I’m the person who always finds the appetizer menu more appealing than the actual menu. So I find this place absolutely perfect for someone who wants to try a little bit of everything.

P.S do not refuse the complimentary cornbread and sweet butter!

Food was not only very tasty but creative and great displays. Nice atmosphere - overall worth many return visits! Sit outside too if you'd like.

After our boat cruise to see the seals and birds nearby, we stopped here for early dinner. From the free corn bread to our last dish, everything was excellent! We orde two small, one medium and one large plate, and our server brought out the dishes in the perfect order. Giving us plenty of time to enjoy each one of them! SO GOOD!

I came here with my boyfriend for dinner and was excited to see the different options on the menu. They had more rare options such as duck liver and steak tartare which was a nice change! The inside was very pretty and seemed to get busy towards late night. The smaller plates are great for sharing the wait staff was very attentive. Highly recommended for a nice meal.

We celebrated my good friends baby shower here. Everything was perfection. Food, drinks, and ambiance.

Chris and his team were amazing to work with for our daughters shower and farewell brunch. If you need to cater an event, this establishment will treat you right! Food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect! The owners of this business and their team genuinely care and take pride in delivering for their customers in every way. They even handmade this serving station for our farewell brunch. It was an incredible event, catering, and customer service experience!

This past weekend we hosted our daughters wedding at The Spread . EVERYTHING was amazing !! Chris , Frank , Carlos , Fernando , the bartenders , the wait staff and all the people behind the scenes made it a perfect day !! I would highly recommend this venue for any gathering !!

Cute ambiance. Friendly staff, Spencer especially. Nice variety of food options but I enjoyed the BLT and their espresso martini.

Went to The Spread for the first time on Sunday for brunch. The food and drinks were amazing! We sat outside so our dogs could join us - the service was great and everyone was super accommodating. This place will not disappoint and I will definitely be back!

Had a very delicious blackened chicken sandwich. Good service other than sending ice cream to the wrong table. But then gave us a free one. Overall a great meal and brunch spot.

Awesome work dinner we had Wednesday night, the quality of food is great, the service is great, the environment and the location are very attractive as well. Most of my table got steak frites which looked amazing but I got truffle gnocchi which was incredible

It was amazing. I don't think they could ever serve a bad meal! Taste. Presentation, staff. All are top notch. We were there for a holiday party. Just loved it.

Great outdoor dining space with lights and next to a large water fountain. Good was delicious, servers were really nice and attentive. Went with a large party and had no issues.

Lovely spot for brunch. Food was very good and the outdoor seating was beautifully done. They have a roaring fireplace with their outdoor seating too.
