This year I finally made the big decision to buy a John Deere x700 signature series garden tractor. When we arrived we were greeted by our salesman Matt and started discussing our needs and narrowed in on the model. We discussed options, I'm glad we took his recommendation to go with all-wheel steering as I have many obstacles to mow around. When Matt delivered the machine and accessories he spent as much time as needed so we were fully confident in operating the machine maintaining it and taking the snow plow and mower deck on and off.
I would recommend D.H. Marvin and sons to anyone in need of lawn and garden equipment compact or subcompact tractors. I'm a fan of supporting local businesses and stay away from the big chain stores. When you walk into D.H. Marvin and sons you will understand what I am talking about.

I was in the market for my first sub-compact tractor and probably would've been fine with any brand, but what I valued most was who I was buying it from. Huge franchises are the norm now for Deere, Kubota, Bobcat etc etc but I was fortunate enough to buy my new 1025r from a family owned business that has been serving the community for almost 100 years. Matt was excellent from the minute I first walked in to when he personally delivered my machine. I've used it at every opportunity around the house. I couldn't be happier with D H Marvin.

Very efficient, friendly, professional experience from beginning to end. Matt took the time to walk me through the options, and he was able to offer a model that was uniquely configured for my needs--something a hardware box store doesn't carry. Delivery included a thoughtful walkaround and guidance on maintenance, with a couple "thank you" items. I have confidence that the tractor was set up properly by pros that deal with them day in and day out. And... the price was the same as with box stores (when comparing other models). Definitely glad to have work with DH Marvin.

I have a old John Deere 318 tractor. I need a mule V belt and tried to buy one on line with bad results. Also I did not have any good luck at another United Ag and Turf store. I decided drive to the Colchester store a 40 mile round trip. The parts man Carl Smith Jr was a great help and even got me help with a mechanic. They found the part number for the belt and had one in stock. I purchased the belt and took it home and installed it and it worked great. Thanks for the help and I will be back if I need any more service.

We bought our first John Deere 160 Lawn tractor from DH Marvin in 1984. Since then we have purchased an X300 and a 570 Lawn tractor. All are still in the family and cutting lawns on a regular basis. Every machine has met and exceeded our expectations. We have also bought blowers, trimmers, and other accessories from Marvin's over the years. The sales people have been very knowledgeable and have provided just what we needed at each purchase. The machines are all very reliable and have required few service calls. When we did need service it was always performed quickly and completely. Never a return all for the same issue.

Besides product quality the after purchase support is extremely important to us. The service technicians, people in the parts department and the administrators have always been friendly and experts in their areas of expertise.

We recently took delivery of a 1025R Compact Tractor with backhoe, snow plow, and frontend loader. Tim Marvin advised us perfectly in terms of providing a tractor that meets our requirements!! We have owned it for about a month and it has been able to complete every task we have thrown at it. It is an Ideal tractor to accomplish every job that a home owner or small landscape business operator can need to complete every day tasks. It does large tractor work and has a small tractor feel

Great experience overall. We had an issue with the mower deck of our lawn mower and Bill (one of the mechanics) called us that he would be in the area later that day. He was very friendly on the phone and in-person, very knowledgeable, and fixed the issue within 10 minutes.

I would gladly give more stars if possible! I went to D.H. Marvin because that's where my Dad went over 40 years ago. I had checked other brands and Dealerships, but felt like I was "home" with D. H. Marvin. Dealing with Curtis was an extremely relaxing decision, with no pressure. Curtis really knows his stuff, as I'm sure everyone else there does, recommending options no one else brought up. They are so busy, like most everyone these days, so it took a few weeks to build my 1025R my way, but everything was "in stock".
My tractor was delivered by Curtis about 1-1/2 weeks ago, waxed, lubed, full of fuel, ready to work! Curtis went over everything with me, definitely not a "drop and run". Highly recommend dealing with D.H. Marvin & Sons, and can't wait to add attachments from them!

Went here last week and got a John Deere zero turn and the staff was incredible. I was in and out of there in 35 min, they were very knowledgeable... I told them what I was looking for as far as features and what I was planning on doing and they put me in the perfect machine and on sale at a unbeatable price. Delivery came early and even the driver was cool cracking jokes, plus hooked up the entire family with John Deere hats. Def glad I chose to come here and will get all my future business going forward.

Excellent support in selection of a compact l tractor. Matt (our salesman) went over features and reviewed models in patient detail to help us with our purchase. Then on delivery he spent several hours going over all the equipment again, demonstrating and putting us thru hands on trials. Probably the BEST service we have ever received from a dealer of any kind. Would definitely recommend and use again.
