Big Y World Class Market

I called around 2:15 for a gender reveal cake for my husband shortly after finding out my baby’s gender, hoping to pick it up for the same evening. The woman I spoke with was kind and courteous, and got it done really quickly!! Thank goodness for that because I’m a terrible at keeping secrets. He was able to pick it up when he got out of work for 3pm. I regrettably don’t remember her name, but thank you so much!!

Great selection of foods. The staff here were very friendly and professional. They no longer provide grocery baskets so you will need a cart. There might be some psychological conditioning where if you take a cart then you will spend more money on more items due to the additional space available for you to carry. There was plenty of parking which is convenient. Just remember that Connecticut charges 10 cents per paper bag with the bad handles.

Very nice supermarket with some good deals and great fresh food. Their produce seems much better than what I have seen from other stores in the area, visually. The prices are a little up there, but you can get a card and shop the sales to make it even more worth the visit. They sell a few items I can't seem to find anywhere else, which is a plus!

This is my local go to market. Very large and good selection. Great meat and seafood departments. We love their rotisserie chickens for a quick week night easy meal.

Incredibly grateful to Kathy and Jho-Ann in the Flower Shop for their warmth, professionalism and incredible beautiful boquets and flower arrangements for our wedding November 18th. Michelle and I were very pleased.

Bought a birthday cake and it was delicious! Excellent bakery staff and a delightful cashier lady!

This grocery store is awesome. They have the best lunch food with many options. Also the app works perfectly.

Stacked the fridge for the kids. Always a great place to go. Staff is always friendly and has a great selection. This is my preferred Big Y.

Very good prices, well stocked, courteous service, health guidelines followed. I don't shop anywhere else. The store's brand is also very good. Very satisfied.

I HAVE TO say , they're CHICKEN wings and soups are the best I've ever had ANYwhere!! And the good part is , is you can even take as LITTLE as you want as opposed to restaurants who won't give you just a few! I won't GO anywhere else for my wings but HERE ever!

Great selections of so many items. Produce looks fresh and many locally bought choices. Great little pizza section. Always clean and well stocked.

I drive sooo far out of my way to go to this store. Produce is awesome, they have many more items than even the other stores in their chain, and the staff are great. I'm in there several times a week and have yet to walk out disappointed because I couldn't find something. Great store.

Just wanted to say Joe the store manager saved the day! He came thru in a pinch, stepping up to help himself personally to turn a sour situation into a happy customer. Great manager! Amazing service! Thank you so much.

Be sure to ring the bell when you leave! Awesome grocery store with plenty of options and great prices. I really love their in-store made Peanut Butter.

Came in to find a good rib roast for Christmas and as always, Big Y came through. The meat was fantastic and the price was surprisingly good. The roast was a big hit at dinner and customer service was fantastic as always

Wish you didn't have to pay a subscription for silver club, otherwise it'd be 5 stars.

Edit: changing to 5 stars due to the fact that they have apparently stopped charging the $20 a year. Shouldn't have happened initially though, imo.

I do like that they utilize local farmers and companies instead of heartless conglomerates..
