Washington Street Coffee House

Was very busy in the a.m. due to the St. Patrick’s Day parade ☘ but barista was calm & very pleasant despite the long line. Great artsy vibe for all ages. Chai Latte was perfectly made! Worth stopping in if you’re passing through the area!

My wife and I really enjoy having breakfast and coffee here. I’ve only had breakfast items, and both times here, they were excellent. It’s only a 2-3 minute walk from the Holiday Inn. Great place to start the day.

“Washington Street Coffee House” in New London is just WOW! They do the best classic egg muffins with hash browns! Yummy! (In my photo it doesn’t look appetising, but it really is!) It’s child friendly as they have a corner full of toys, it’s dog friendly. There’s outdoor seating. I love the plants window wall and all the fun artistic art work covering the walls. They also sell their own brand merchandise. We ordered Americano’s but we’re given and charged for Mocha’s. It was delicious either way. We didn’t have the heart to tell them they gave us the drinks wrong. The restroom is unisex and accessible. There are artwork in there too.

Really good place for a quick work lunch. I love the Thai peanut salad. Light with lots of protien. Only $9! Delicious with a cold brew coffee, the ice is also cold brew. My coworker got the black bean, rice, and pork burrito. Pork was very tender. Service is fast. Emily is a gem!

Loved the place. Like a hidden treasure. Walked into a great vibe and atmosphere. Menu and special on chalk boards. We thought it was just a coffee shop. But it is sooooo much more.
Lots of folks doing group studies, work and meeting friends. Lunch specials and sandwiches. Breakfast sandwiches and tacos. We had bagel and lox, blueberry crumb cake and chai latte and cappuccino.
Always looking for a kid friendly place to be able to enjoy a coffee and the kids be entertained too. They have toys, crayons, coloring sheets, high chairs, cars, etc. for the kids. Grandson likes to give gifts, we caught him walking around bringing cars to different guests. Everyone was welcoming and smiled. He is a cute kid.
Bagel and lox perfect. Drinks and the crumb cake great. I look forward to trying sandwiches and more menu items.

Service was quick and friendly. Prices are awesome, coffee was delicious, blueberry coffee cake was the best we’ve ever had. We enjoyed the natural light as much as their plants do. The art work was fun! Plenty of off street parking. We will be back!

Hands-down, the best vegan curry lentil soup. . Absolutely delicious. Overall, an extremely healthy twist on traditional favorites (ie BLT, grilled cheese, etc.) and a variety of creative alternatives to choose from. Superior brewer coffee.

Great coffee house in downtown New London. The atmosphere is airy, open, and artful. Lots of eclectic options on the menu, from bagels to Bahn Mi. Perfect place to hang out, have a bite to eat, and get some work done.

This place is amazing. I went twice in two days. Had a egg and Veggie wrap and oatmeal. Both were the best I've ever had.

I had been to another cafe a few streets over (Muddy Waters), so I was excited to try this place. I found it very welcoming and bright, appeared to have a lot of locals passing through. Views from the cafe look out on New London and many of its local murals. The scone I had was delicious and made in-house. No mugs sadly but I can imagine that it might save water to use disposable ones.

Super friendly and mellow environment and the spicy miso pork soup is always my favorite! 🌶🌶. Picture also shows the Vermont sausage egg and cheese sandwich ❤❤❤ Definitely recommend this place!

Great counter service Cafe with a surprisingly diverse menu for a coffee shop. The wife and I got a bowl of stir fry, a coffee cake muffin, Bahn Mi sandwich, and two bougie coffees all for under $30. Always packed on the weekends. Great atmosphere and occasional live music.

It met my desire for a quirky coffee shop, but the breakfast sandwich is the best I've had for a long time. The coffee is strong, which is a really good thing. We were traveling from PA, so it might be a while until we return, but we would come back for sure.

You're not going to find a better cafe in new london. I noticed the 1 star reviews all have the same common theme "they didn't take special care of me", the world does not revolve around you unfortunately and this establishment is busy every day. Wait your turn.

Passing through we found this treasure of a coffee house with food. Excellent service, Blind Pig coffee A+ bought a pound, good fresh tasting food. We hung out enjoyed some downtime in a relaxing atmosphere!! Free Wifi, inside & outside seating. Definitely recommend.

A fantastic coffee shop with a wide variety of teas and foods as well. A must visit with tons of indoor and outdoor seating

Came here twice on our CT trip! Loved the coffee, hash brown breakfast sandwich and even picked up some cute postcards to frame and hang up at home to remember our trip.

This place is a gem. We were so impressed with the quality and the ambience! We always wish there were more places like this! It is a little hidden and so you have to look for it, but definitely worth going to!!!!!!

The Barista suggested a really good cup of coffee...the atmosphere is nice with no loud music. The tables outside are nice for sitting and enjoying the weather. 😌
