L'Enfant East Parking Garage

The parking lot attendant was very nice.

Was the only lot open 24 hours in the area. A bit tight but I got in and out with a Suburban. Only gripe, $26 which is par for the course in downtown DC. Watch how you exit the facility, lots of undesirables lurking about. Otherwise...acceptable.

The entrance is a little confusing to find at first

The only, reason I would park here again is for the proximity to work. Don't get me wrong, the staff are very friendly and helpful, but when it comes to parking i only really care about the price point myself, and this place is never cheap. That im aware of, there's no early bird special, no weekend discount, and the clearance is so low I can touch it being 5'4. Also, some of the spots are double parked and require you to leave your keys with the staff for them to be able to move your car as needed. If you have a medical condition that requires you park close I feel for you, otherwise, just walk a few extra blocks unless you're running late. I know I will from now on.

This is a small garage. I would suggest using the large parking garage to the west called Ace, located under the Spy Museum. This garage closes on the weekends at 10:00 p.m. closing your car inside and locking you outside. I had a very nice gentleman (employee) help me get my car out. Very grateful to him and his kindness.

Very low , not good for tall suvs, charge $30 per 2.5 hrs, way to much

We booked our parking spot through spot hero. It was nearly impossible to exit. There was no attendant and no place to validate the parking. Lots of double parking spaces. Hard to find the right spot for a family. No bumpers/curbs to prevent running into walls or pipes. Elevator that we took up would not allow us to go back down to the level we parked on.

6' max height. Forget it if anything higher. Our Nissan Armada was too big.

What a joke this place is - it says if you go to the spy museum you and get validated, return to your car and leave within 20 minutes you will get a 20% discount on your ticket when you leave. Well that is not the case , I had to pay full price because the machine wasn't reading the ticket which was validated and we left within 10 minutes of getting the ticket validated. So pretty much a scam from the garage, preying on tourist. the garage itself is a maze getting in and out. Just park on the street next to the garage L'Enfant plaza SW and pay from the app. It says there is a time limit just keep using the app to add time. Would not recommend parking here doesn't honor the validation. Oh and the pay stations you could pay at were not operational so you had to pay as you were leaving which put you in an awkward situation when the validation wasn't working. SCAM

It's well kept and spacious, but whoever designed that layout should be charged for crimes against humanity. The lanes are so narrow and go around pillars that you'll either scratch your car or ding someone else's. I got lucky with empty spaces in my path. There are also dead ends and poor signage telling you how to get out. Good luck finding your car too unless you can retrace your steps exactly! Above all, they have lanes that go both directions one car at a time! You can't see and if there's someone coming the other way, you better hope they dissolve into vapor or you live there now. Sure you can back up, but not if there's cars behind you! All of this to be charged the price of a decent meal at a restaurant. Absolute trash parking structure. Use the street or park somewhere else and take the Metro in...

Although the sign says 24 hours it is not. Had to leave my car there over night and find another way home in the rain because they locked my car in. The phone number provided was also no help.

The area at the D street entrance is really awful. I parked there to go to the International Spy Museum and Wharf recently. Most spaces are reserved, so it's difficult to find a parking spot. The doors to the elevators were locked / restricted to certain guests so there was no easy way to exit or enter after parking. I couldn't find an elevator to use so I walked in and out the same way I drove in. I also couldn't find a working pay station so I had to pay with my ticket and credit card at the exit, and the phone number listed to call in case of emergency went to voicemail. Seriously, read the other reviews - I wish I would have! And after all of that the Sunday parking fee was $30.

NOT 24 HRS - it closed at 9pm on Nov. 16 despite all signs saying 24hours. Gate was lowered when I returned to get my car at 11pm. After 20mins of trying to find a solution I finally see a print out with a phone number. Someone answered and was able to open the gate remotely. Only reason I park here are for concerts at The Wharf when their garages are full. Such a mess.

Approximately 200 other people were trapped in their cars inside the second floor of the parking garage with us for THREE HOURS while the attendants were letting the first floor, many of which were newly arrived, guests leave. When asked, they said there was a bad car accident outside (which we never saw any evidence of, neither when we left nor on the GPS when we were outside) (there's no signal inside the parking garage so we had to walk outside via either a single elevator that serviced both levels, or a narrow staircase that was very difficult to find). A few of the attendants were very nice, apologizing for the inconvenience and wishing us a nice day, but others were very nasty and belligerent. Oh, did I mention there's no ventilation? A hundred cars running for 3 hours left most of the people there, including me and my wife, with headaches and nausea that lingered into the next day, despite us taking several long breaks outside in between waiting in our parking spot for things to start moving. Not sure if this is normal operations for L'Enfant parking garage, but we will not be coming back.

Scanner could not scan the barcode of my reservation at the entry point. Tried calling the attendant but of no help. I was in a hurry so i had to park at another garage. Lost $30. The biggest problem is that there is no attendant available at the entry/exit. Never again.
