Tojo's Bar & Grill

Not sure why I've waited so long to get to this place. The pork tenderloin is enough for 2 or 3 people, but it's really freaking good! The poppers were really good too. Someone got a sausage grinder next to us and I'll be trying that next. Looked amazing as well!

The tenderloin was very good, the thickness and breading were spot on.
The onion rings were also very good.
The service was fast and friendly.

This is a small town Iowa bar. That is the atmosphere. I like it. Not everyone does. We went for the tenderloins which ranked in the top ten in Iowa. They were HUGE and delicious. Surprisingly they have 8 beers on tap plus a lot of others in cans and bottles.
My wife and I each had a tenderloin, an order fries, an order of onion rings, and 2 bottles of beer each. We couldn't finish the fries and rings. She also couldn't finish her tenderloin.
The total bill was $48.
It's a good place to go.

Awesome big tenderloin or Midwest crab legs (tenderloin fritters) 11-12 bucks. Great portion. We split plate. friendly staff. quick service. I assume tenderloin served regularly. We stopped on group bicycle ride Baccoon Ride. Off the trail next to small park. Great for eating outside with walk up window in the park

They've been voted one of the best tenderloins in the State... To tell you what, it does not disappoint. If you wanna get out and away from the same old, same old, It is well worth the drive to Jamaica, Iowa to Tojo's.

Small town offerings at their best. The tenderloin is to die for whether fried or grilled. Don't pass on the potato salad--homemade and delicious!

This small town bar and grill has such a home town feel. Although we were visiting, we were greeted and served like we were regulars. The staff is so nice as well as the residents in the town just grabbing a bite for lunch or having a pint.

I ordered the famous pork tenderloin sandwich and my wife ordered the cheeseburger. There is so much flavor in this food I couldn't believe it. The cheeseburger was juicy but not messy and cooked just right. Not overly seasoned either. The pork tenderloin was about as big as a manhole lid. Not like all these other places who have these thin sliced tenderloins, this one was thick and meaty. Easily the best ever. Most would take half home in a box bit I couldn't help myself and finished the whole thing. Oddly enough, I was sad when it was gone. When we do visit these parts again, no doubt I will be back again.

I'm a Lil biased as I've known Tommy Jo for over 45 years, but it's always great fun and great food at ToJo's in Jamaica (Iowa)!

If this place isn't a hidden gem, I don't know what is.

Absolutely amazing food at stellar prices and portions. I was actually shocked at how piled up the fries were when they brought out our food.

The burger is real meat, not frozen patties, and tastes great.

Do be warned that this place does not take debit/credit. Aside from that, this is 100% worth going out of your way for.

My husband and I love Tojos! Hands down, one of the best burgers I have had. Tojos has a fun, homey atmosphere. It's definitely off the beaten path, but it is well worth it! Heads up that they do only accept cash, but they provide an ATM in house if you don't have any on you. If you are looking for a quick bite, a couple of drinks, or just some good old small town, friendly service, stop in and give them a try!

Boil order but they did a great job with drinks and refills. They have the best french fries! Tenderloin is amazing. Everything else is good too.

This place was AMAZING!!! My gf wanted to try the tenderloin. It was HUGE. I tried some and it was one of the best I've ever had. I got the hot ham and cheese. It was exactly what I want out of a hot ham and cheese. The ranch was good. The staff was very friendly. We will for sure be back. It was more than worth the 40 minute drive.

I also saw the grinders being delivered to a table and they looked great as well.

Food was very good. Service was excellent even though they were packed! Saw so much good food going by our table that going back is an absolute MUST! Hadn't eaten all day but still had to take a good portion home.

For the size of the town, it's exactly what I expected, and Tommy made me feel like I was a regular on my first visit. What it lacks in decor, it makes up for in comfort and welcome.

She makes quite a good pork tenderloin, but bring cash, or pay the ATM fee.
