The food is amazing the rangoo needed a bit more crab but still amazing, the service was great as well. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

The food, the family, the atmosphere, I worked here for one Summer back in 2012 and ever since I've always based all my opinions on similar restaurants from these guys' menus. Quality food, quality experience and always worth every cent. They deserve so much more than I can ever give. Thank you Chantel, Tong and Kim for giving me years of great food and laughs. We came in with a very large group and no reservation. They were still happy to see us and very accommodating. Everybody enjoyed their meal, no complaints! I had the szechuan chicken and it was delicious!!

I've of the best Chinese restaurants we've been too. We had sweet and sour, sesame, and general TSO and they were all fantastic though I think we liked the generals best. Egg rolls and won ton soup were both very good also. Service was fast and friendly.

Very good food!! Been awhile since ive tasted really good chinese food. One of my favorite places!! The owner is a very nice lady who always takes the time to make sure you order what you want, enjoy what your getting, and helps you want to keep coming back!! 😊

Amazing food - great staff! The Hot & Sour Soup is outstanding - take some home with you. And DO NOT miss the Rangoon - the best ANYWHERE! The Orange Beef, Sesame Chicken and Szechuan Shrimp - all favorites, but we've never had a bad dish or a disappointing experience. Go and enjoy!!

Friendly staff and great food.

Went with some friends who were here visiting and they wanted Chinese food even though I don't really care for Chinese food...lol They all order something different and each (4) one of them said it was very good!!! For me fortunately they let me order from the kid's menu and got the chicken nuggets and they were really good too!!!

Delicious 😋 Peony Restaurant is phenomenal! The ambiance is spot on, the food is next level and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. From entrees to soup to rice and Everything else, you cannot lose.

Always a good place to eat. Large menu & lots of choices. Peony has been around for years and is worth your stop when in Jefferson.

We visited while on RAGBRAI and all I can say is this place is run by an extraordinary group of people. The place was PACKED with a long takeout line to boot. We were shown to a table and considering the crowd we were waited on quickly. My daughter is vegan and the standard offerings were limited but our waitress kindly suggested customizing the lo mein to add veggies....the place is absolutely slammed and they pull this rabbit out of their hat? All of the staff was calm and friendly and seemed to actually be enjoying the madness.....must be some kind.of restaurant Zen? Oh and the food? Truly good stuff! Wish we lived closer so we could visit again! Highly recommended!!

I just called in a pickup. When she told me it would be 15 minutes i was astounded. Every other Chinese food place has around a 45 minute wait. The food was amazing. The best fried rice i have ever had and i have had a lot.

This was a great experience! The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! Everything we had was very good and there were generous portions.

Oh my goodness! I could never say anything negative about this place! I seriously drive from Des Moines for Peony. Their lo mein is to die for and their stir fries are always on point. If this place was closer to me, I'd eat here every day for every meal!

The absolute best Chinese food I have ever tasted! Tong and Chantelle are amazing cook and host and the food is always spot on! I have never had a bad experience. Most take out orders are ready in less than 20 minutes which makes it a great place for lunch! The lunch portions are huge and include an appetizer and soup. My go to is the pork fried rice and crab rangoon. I know it sounds simple but the amazing flavors give me cravings in my dreams! Another favorite is Sechuan Shrimp or Chicken. You can get it ranging from not spicy to 5 stars. I prefer 2. Just enough to warm you up! Even my 2 year old loves this place! When we pull up she starts chanting, "Egg drop soup! Egg drop soup!" It is small enough that the service is very personal but big enough that you don't feel like you are sitting elbow to elbow with the table next to you.
