Murray Hill Scenic Overlook

This is a must visit overlook - beautiful vista of the valley and rolling Loess Hills. It is also the start of Brent's Trail (hiking), which takes you across a number of hilltops. Scenic drive into this site as well !

Wow what a wonderful place to take a short little hike up a hill. The view is amazing and very unqiue.

Beautiful spot. Great starting point for the Brent Trail! We hiked 5 miles out before hiking back! A hard, but beautiful hike!

Quiet place for a lunch. I really enjoyed having this plane to myself while eating lunch and looking across the Missouri River valley. The hiking trail up to the picnic tables are not accessible to wheelchairs and are rather steep. Something to keep in mind if planning a trip out here.

Beautiful night to look at the clouds and play with night settings. Always a great view!

Great for a short diversion.... Or longer if you wanna hike longer. Great views from the top. There are no restrooms here. Just a small gravel parking lot..

Such a beautiful sight, especially looking over how diverse Iowa land is. Looking one way, you see flat farms for miles and miles, but turn around, and you see the rolling Loess Hills. If you're near, it's so worth a trip - and Brent's Trail, which uses this overlook as one of the trailheads, is an incredible hike! Plan some time if you want to take advantage of that.

Highest point in Harrison County IA. Nice bike ride down, less fun riding up. Nice part of Onabike, Western Iowa's largest one day ride. (Annually the 4th Saturday in August)

This is a fun adventure for the family! Great views, great exercise, and a great time.

It's a steep climb but very cool! We checked it out while hiking Brents Trail.

Murray Hill in Little Sioux is my favorite place , I used to sit up there for hours and hours, a must-see spot

A nice scenic hike overlooking the Missouri River flood plain. Caution if traveling with children as this isn’t a place for them to run around as some of the edges of the hillside are steep close to trail path.

Just as advertised a awesome scenic overlook. About half mile hike up a big ridge and back down. Views are phenomenal here. highly recommend adding this to the list of many loess hills stops in the area!!

First half of the hike is the worst. Super steep and uneven trail. Watch your ankles.

This is the coolest park I've gone to in the loess hills. You are 350 feet above the floodplain (floodplain is 1030 ft above sea level, Murray hill is 1386 ft above sea level at its highest point). You will probably see lizard and maybe a bobcat, they all run away from you though.

Still a great view you can see for miles from the hill top nothing new since last visit view is still awesome but I can't believe someone stole the selfie station sign off the pole

Peaceful. Love this place. But kinda sad the picnic table & benches are now missing. Definitely were a nice break to stop at & talk with the kids before going father up the trail

Great drive from Pisga or Little Sioux. Fun hike and view.

If you ride, it's a terrific area. Good roads and beautiful country. Overlook not to exciting but the trip there's amazing.
