AmericInn by Wyndham Humboldt

I didn't actually stay at this location. However, I stayed at the Super 8 in Humboldt another Wyndham location. The manager there is named Jon. Jon spends hours each day walking up and down the hallway slamming doors. I have heard him slam 50 doors in under a half hour. No one really knows what he is doing. Sometimes he puts the security bar across and the door bounces against that bar a few times and shakes the whole building. This goes on for hours. He is also prone to using power tools at 5:30 in the morning and 9 at night. You don't need an alarm clock. He will wake you. I complained to Wyndham and they have chosen to ignore the situation. However Jon told me if he does get fired the Americinn in Humboldt has already told him they will hire him. In the event you are planning on staying here you might want to check to see if Jon works there because you will not get any peace or rest if he is around.

The clerk who was on when we arrived was very nice and helpful. Room is nearly new and very clean.

It was midnight in the middle of nowhere. The 2 hotels we stopped at...1 full...2 had no hot water. We had to drive back 20 miles to the hotel we had driven past. So glad we did. The hotel is beautiful. Staff were friendly, outgoing and helpful. We were only there for the night but the best hotel experience in our 10 day driving vacation.

While there are not options in Humboldt I can say that this hotel would get kudos if there were 10 to chose from. Very clean property and there was a handwritten note to "enjoy your stay" in my room. Great job Missy & staff!

I can see why this motel has won awards. Very helpful and personable service. Clean and comfortable. They went out of their way to call me about a cell phone I had left and they mailed it to me. They wouldn’t even let me reimburse them!

Don't give 5 stars much. Great room, good linens, towels etc. Breakfast good enough.
A little pricey but there's no real competition.
Many of these small city places are hurting for 2 yrs of bad breaks. This place has done all the right things.

Great place to stay. Staff very courteous and friendly and they take real pride in keeping the place neat and clean.

I stayed here while visiting family in the area. Staff was very friendly, pool and hot tub were clean, room was great! They also had complimentary ice water, coffee, and tea when I checked in which was nice after almost 4 hours on the road! Breakfast selection was good.I was completely satisfied with my experience.

Clean and comfortable and easy access for all to enjoy! Sad trip as we attended a funeral and the people here are compassionate and kindhearted.

Newer very clean hotel. Spacious rooms with plenty of extras. Excellent breakfast selection which is included with your stay. Smallish indoor pool and spa. Of note are the electric chair lifts at the pool and spa for the handicap. No in house restaurant but there are plenty close by. The bar is limited to beer and soft drinks. A lack of vending machines for drinks or snacks. We stayed for a week and were very happy.

It is a brand new facility so they are still working through the "bugs". The staff is very warm and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast is good with a lot of options. I and a lot of my former HS classmates were there for our 50th class reunion. They also had 2 wedding parties staying there as well. When they say 24 hour coffee service, they mean it. Loved the small bar that was there for a beer or wine drink. The beds were comfortable and cozy. Stayed an extra day just because it was nice!

Nice newer hotel that fits the bill perfectly. Great hospitality and the breakfasts were better than basics.

Great place, especially since our grandson and family live there. He has bought larger home and we now have space in their home. However recommend them for anyone. The breakfast is great and have my favorite waffles!

This motel is WONDERFUL!! We were in town for my Mother's funeral and the employees treated us exceptionally well! The pool is great! The free breakfast is the best I have had! Keep up the good work!

Nice hotel, nice rooms.

We drove all the way from Arizona to visit family and we were so happy to check into this amazing hotel! It's brand new so everything is in excellent condition. The quality here is what makes this hotel so much better than others. The tiled walk in shower was my husbands favorite! Even though there is only 2 floors, there is an elevator which makes it easy to carry luggage to the 2nd floor (especially when you have a toddler lol!) The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pillows are so soft and there are plenty! We will definitely stay here again.

Soooo accomodating and such Nice girls that work the breakfast bar and behind the counter.
Few and far between do we find a place that really makes you feel at home but this place does.
We stayed 2 nights 3/17-3/19 and loved every minute. Even when things got broke at the bar
the girls were so nice and didn't give even a frown when the cleaned up the mess.
BEST PLACE TO STAY AND PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT ALL MOTELS/HOTELS SHOULD BE!

We stayed AmericInn in Humboldt December 26-Dec 31 the hotel was a nice place to stay with a pool. Unfortunately due to equipment problems the pool was only opened a few times during our stay. The manager Jason went above and beyond to make us happy. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting Humboldt Iowa.

It was very clean. We had to stop in an emergency and the staff was very helpful.
