If you are out this way on a trip and fancy a quick bite and coffee, I highly recommend this place. The staff is fast in service, all of the food served was delicious, the place was clean, the bathroom for the men was clean, and the dining room was turn of the century charming. I had coffee, a brisket sandwich, coleslaw, and a scone. I enjoyed every bite, but the Mrs. took half my scone!!

Favorite local coffee shop! There are so many items I enjoy from here. For breakfast, I get an oatmeal (it is baked and topped with yoghurt - so yummy) and a white chocolate, raspberry scone that both my toddlers eat with delight. I usually drink a black coffee because it is the best. For lunch, I order the wraps with chips and a pickle spear. The bagels and various cream cheeses are delicious. I also enjoy a hot chai with almond milk on cold days. I just have to mention my husband’s name and the kind service people know to make him his Garraccino. Shout out to Brooke and Jodi for their excellent service!

Booked a private party for a baby shower. Christy personalized our appetizers with class and style. They were not the common finger foods. The added touch and time she took to prepare these items added a great touch to the table. The decor and beauty of the building makes decorating so easy. The staff, Jodi and her helpers WERE AMAZING !!! THEY KEPT OUR TRAYS FULL, THEY CONTINUED TO BE FRIENDLY AND SO MUCH FUN!!! LOVE THE PUMKIN LATTE AND THE ADDED TOUCHES 😋 THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO HOST OUR SPECIAL DAY AT THE GARRISON HOUSE !

Cozy coffee shop. Soup and salad lunch. Soft leather sofas wish they had one in my home town.

We were in town for Clarinda Band Jamboree and saw people walking out with coffee so of course we had to go check it out. Not only was their coffee delicious, there were so many flavor options to choose from, as well as, how you wanted it made {hot, iced, blended}.

We also decided to eat lunch there since the town was full of people for band. The food is simple and delicious. I cannot explain how wonderful it was. You can tell their food is made in house and not bought off a truck pre-made. The atmosphere was great, quiet, simple, and warm. If there was a big chair I could have curled up with a book and took a nap afterwards. This will definitely be our new spot when we visit Clarinda for anything in the future.

This is a wonderful place to meet with friends and enjoy the delicious food and cosy atmosphere! My husband says they have the best coffee and biscuits and gravy in town, and I love the bacon bagels and sandwiches, and much more! The owner is very sweet and friendly, and attentive to her customers' needs! I highly recommend this place!

Quaint, antique, turn of the century fantastic atmosphere the friendliest service in town.
I was hankering for a cup of coffee and a good tasting scone and I noticed the coffee house sign on the outside Marquee.

As I entered through the door I could hear the clinking of dishes and the conversation and laughter of people already enjoying each other .

I strongly believe that you will too so the next time that you're in clarenda Iowa I strongly recommend a suggest that you stop here for a great bite to eat and excellent cup of coffee and whatever else that you would need .

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Christy offered wonderful Midwest charm. We came from all over the country with 60 guys into a small farm town. She usually operates her business for breakfast and lunch. We asked if she would serve us dinner after all day goose hunting. She obliged us and made 5 very delicious dinners that any foodie would appreciate. From brisket with baked beans, cornbread and a homemade honey butter to the most amazing apple pie with Carmel sauce. Another night was the best twice baked potato I have ever had with a pork tenderloin, a fresh roll and her “now” world famous honey butter(piped into a cute side dish) and a cherry pie. The insanely good steak chili with off the charts Mac n’ cheese and cornbread. The dessert that night was a homemade cinnamon roll with candied pecans. I have a very high expectation of the food I order. Christy exceeded all 60 guys expectations and then some. Her husband Peter had enough personality to fill the room. I love small towns because of people like these two. It could not of been better!! She offered to pack sack lunches and hot breakfast burritos for all the goose hunters last minute and did not disappoint. If this restaurant was in a big city, it would be very well renowned and hard to get reserved. We will all be back next year. Her waitresses were all true professionals and very good at offering as much small town charm as you could handle. We are so excited for the last night dinner. These people in Clarinda will make you want to move close to them. As good as it gets!!!!

Last weekend Kristi catered our daughter's wedding and the food and service was superb. Kristi is a professional who takes pride in her work. Not only that her prices were very reasonable. I would definitely use Kristi again for any catering needs.

Super great service, I placed a big carry out order and they had it ready for me in about 20 minutes (note that this was after a rush, not during) the staff was super pleasant and helpful. They don't have much for vegetarian food on the menu but they allowed me to customize as necessary.

Really enjoy their "4th Friday" event with live music. Their menu offers a selection of very creative sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc. Their coffee and tea selections are yummy as well as their pastries.

Wonderful experience. The staff allowed me in early, being the doors open at 7am. They were friendly, and my latte was great as always. The new owner is wonderful!! Thank you.

Garrison coffee is a wonderful place to go. I'm from Colorado and when i went there, they treated me as if i were one of the locals. I recommend this magnificent establishment to anyone looking for great food and amazing beverages.

Friendly and quaint atmosphere. It is very clean and the staff is very accommodating. Great selection for breakfast and lunch. A wide variety of coffee flavors as well.

Beautifully decorated. Original exposed brick walls and punched tin ceiling. All around comfy atmosphere and delicious food. Everyone needs to try the coleslaw. (Yum)

Better than Starbuck's, Scooters or any other big chain coffee shop! They serve great food too! My fave is the toasted marshmallow iced coffee.

Pretty and spacious meeting space! Their lunch and breakfast menu is actually quite perfect for a bistro/coffee shop type of eatery.

Wonderful atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Coffee is solid and the smoothies are fantastic.
