Man what a cool place. If you are a race fan and have the change check it out. It's small but worth looking at the cars on display and the view from the Hall of Fame to the rack was cool.

The first time I went it was relatively bare bones. while there were plenty of sights to see it was nothing like it was then. So many different cars from over the many years of Sprint Car racing as well as many exhibits along side. you can take a trip through Sprint Car racing history right outside Knoxville Turn 2.

I finally stopped after passing by it for years. Brought back childhood memories of racing greats. Parnelli Jones, AJ Foyt, there is a great picture of them neck n neck in a early race, and several others who moved from spint to Nascar fame. Close to 100 cars that probably still run. Even for a non racing fan, it was very interesting seeing early cars to the modern winged spint cars. All in pristine shape. $8 for vets or 65+. $10 for adults. Didn't catch kid price. But was well worth the money and you could spend a couple hours or more easy. Souvenirs are availible but I didn't go over to the shopping area.

It was awesome, before main event started colored lights were flashing all around the track. Guns n roses song , welcome to the jungle was playing.

The museum is first class. Well done, both with all of the displays and with the movie theater upstairs. The upstairs offers views of the track you would never think you'd see.
I'd like to have a event upstairs like get married there!
Well see about that one, LOL
It truly is done very well and the staff is great for answering questions and just plain fun to be around.
Please stop by and help keep the museum going.
By celebrating the past, we can help the future.

If you're into racing, this is a great place to visit. Only a 30 minute drive south of the Iowa Speedway, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is packed with all kinds of interesting stuff. You can easily spend a few hours in there. It's not very fancy but it is very informational and entertaining.

Very interesting and display of the early year's of racing that created the sprint car creation and the progressively improved the sport of speed and rules. Seeing names and cars I had seen year's ago brings back year's of childhood memories at the tracks around this area and states that the cars and driver's that was shown on display with a story of every car that gave you a good deal of the hard work they did just to get inducted in the hall of fame. What a great way to bring the grandkids and great grandson into the world of sprint car racing as he starting his Jr. Sprint season.

Great history of spring car racing with plenty of memorabilia. The suites upstairs are choice seats for watching a race. On this day we were at a car show held here.

We got a friendly staff greeting when we walked in the door. We got a great overview of the museum with special attention for interesting exhibits including cars drive by AJ Foyt. I found the museum meticulously maintained but still had the feel of an old- time garage and race operation. I saw well preserved cars, gear and posters from modern day and vintage racing era. I like Motorsports, and this museum exceeded my expectations.

Super cool staff! Nice renovations & sprucing up, getting ready for nationals. Entry fee, 5 bucks. $4 for vets. A little pricey on somethings but, hey... It's a museum. Funding funding funding! No problem with that, I understand.
And yes, there's room to take a big truck. But, granted, it was not that busy of a day.
Excellent BBQ next door. I'll be back.
