The Kaleidoscope Factory

Everyone should visit this place. So many neat custom made kaleidoscope. They have kits you can " make your own" even. They have alot of wooden puzzles, toys ,also. Stop in an see them.

Nice small business, everything is hand-made and crafted beautifully.

Kids had a great time and us adults even learned a few things. Leonard was very friendly and informative!

Leonard was absolutely awesome. I could spend several hours listening to his stories and watching him work.
He is a special man who brings joy to many people. And I was the beneficiary of that joy as well.
I made 4 eggs and bought a kit to share with my granddaughter.
I will visit again even though it took 4 5 hours to get there.

Great little hidden gem in Northwest Iowa

This is a shop worth visiting. Leonard Olson is the owner and he is more than happy to show you how he makes kaleidoscopes, and you can even help. He will make your visit very enjoyable with his friendliness and humor!!

Leonard is a great story teller. He is a geek and knows his stuff. Very enjoyable experience.

Touring the Kaleidoscope Factory was the highlight of our time spent in Pomeroy. We took the sunlight tour, which we highly recommend, we saw a 'scope being assembled, and created some unique jewelry.

We also took note of his grotto viewing advice; which was to take the tour in the daylight, then go back to view the structure at night.

EVERYone should visit the Kaleidoscope factory, but not all on the same day.
