Great little hometown restaurant. My wife and I stopped in on our drive back home about three hours away. I had the chicken fried steak. The food was hot, cooked perfectly, tasted great, and seasoned just right. Our server was excellent and got our drinks refilled before they were empty. Very family friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.

10/20/23. Driving through on our way home. First you notice is parking lot is full of locals vehicles, always a good sign. Bulletin board in entryway has a number of upcoming local event flyers. It was seat yourself, server arrived promptly. Appetizer of fried pickles were delicious. Fish and chips and I had french dip with cheese. The roast beef in dip was very tender and well seasoned. Fish and chips fried nicely and no excess oil.
Would recommend, will stop again.

Very understanding about our wild 3 year old. Came to make sure we were satisfied a few times which was nice. Foods always good. Especially love their pretzel burger. Onion rings are exceptionally good!

The food was very good and the service was good. Nice family atmosphere. I was passing through the town on a trip, it was my first time there.

This was my very first time of ever stopping here to eat and I am so very glad we did. The waitress was very friendly, fast and courteous, the cooking staff was fast and all 3 of our meals came to the table piping hot. I recommend anyone traveling through Pocahontas to stop here and enjoy a delicious meal.

Best place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner country fried steak skillet is my favorite.

Great service always even when orange juice got spilt

Great service despite arriving during the busy Sunday afternoon lunch rush. The consensus at the table was that the food was great. Burgers were delicious, as were the fries and tots. I ordered a taco salad, and although it was good, I'm used to it being served in a taco shell. This one was served with chips. The menu DOES indicate that chips are served with it but I thought it meant "in addition to" the usual taco salad.
Overall great service and delicious food.

We went through the drive up and had to wait a little bit because the food was cooked fresh. Our order was perfect and the food was delicious. The French fries were hot and crisp. Our burgers were prepared just the way we like them. Would love to go back.

Never been there before. Didn't know what to expect. The service was great. Was not impressed with the food but like I said the service was great.

Always good service, friendly staff, clean inviting atmosphere! Awesome, wholesome home cooked meals! Always have leftovers for a whole other meal....

Food was excellent, I recommend their onion rings. Service was friendly and attentive to all our needs. It is one of my favorite places to eat. Breakfast served any time.

Friendly, fast, clean, & the food we ordered was good. Didn't care for the music, but oh well ... it could have been worse and that's a personal preference anyway. We'd eat here again if we are ever in the area. Thanks.

Some of the best blueberry pancakes I ever had. They even have a drive thru window. The best breakfast in town. The great you with a smile. The local town folks were the best I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. You find some of the best out of the way restaurants in Iowa. I would highly recommend stopping in just for a smile and blueberry pancakes.

Friendly hometown service with food that reminds you of home. Just a great place to visit. One more thing, the Sunday breakfast buffet is delicious!
