Cray Historical Home Museum

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. We were the only visitors at the time we arrived. We had three lovely ladies give us tours of the various parts of the home. The carriage house is a gift shop and there's a 20 minute video to watch as well. The video covers Atchison and it's history which is very interesting. The home and museum covers historical events and culture. It's a nice place to visit in Atchison.

Beautiful, historical architecture and period furnishings. Gorgeous stain glass windows. Knowledgeable, charismatic tour from staff. Her guided tour made the visit so much more meaningful.

Wish I had pictures to post. This was one of the best historical houses I've ever seen. The furnishings, artifacts and memorabilia are first class. The ladies that give personal tours are top notch guides. We were there 3X longer than expected and enjoyed every minute.

So worth the drive and time. I really enjoyed my tour and the entire fee is affordable.

I took my kids (8, 5, & 1) as a little homeschool field trip. It's a beautiful house, and we enjoyed seeing all the artifacts and hearing the history.

All the staff working were very welcoming and graciously listened to the many comments my kids had.

I would recommend only bringing children who can the "look but don't touch", since nearly everything is too old to handle. For children who can't do that, the carriage house around back has a little video about Atchison and that theater is more child-friendly.

Fans of old houses and history in general will enjoy this elegant home from a by-gone era.

Beautiful home & great tour guides.

Our guide was a very nice lady; she gave us the details on almost thing in the house, as well as interesting history with the family and how they influenced the state during their time. It was a nice way to pass the time, for an inexpensive pass for $5.

Amazing city museum. You'll fully understand what wealth looked like in the 19th century if you visit this home. Staff very friendly and informative. Wood and marble detail inside the house is incredible. Plan one hour for the visit - don't rush once you're inside.

I took my 7 year old granddaughter there today and we both loved it. We felt so welcomed by the staff and the house feels like a home. Beautiful and spotless. Well worth it.

Beautiful antiques on display. Lots of stairs...😩, but worth it if you can do them. Gift shop and short movie about The Cray house & Atchison. Fun!

Very well keep up and lot's of information from our tour guide through the House. We'll be wanting to come back some day when we have more time to spend.

This is a great place to visit and work. The Director has done a wonderful job with the home. It's a must --to see in Atchison, Ks
