If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I cannot possibly recommend Matt and his team at Bro brake & exhaust any more.
Matt leads with integrity, honesty, and compassion. I am a disabled single mother on a very low fixed income and Matt went out of his way to help me make my car safe for my children and affordable for me.
I know absolutely nothing about cars. He was completely transparent and did not take advantage of me although it would’ve been very easy to.
He physically showed me what was wrong with the car and explained what to look for to keep on top of it. Even went so far as to draw a little diagram on the back of a piece of paper explaining to me how that specific part works.
The actual work done was skillful and I have had no problems since.
The environment at the shop friendly and relaxed. I enjoyed chatting with his other half while waiting.
When I was first looking for a shop I had the mindset that need something I can actually afford, I don’t need nice or even the best quality (because of my financial situation) but I’m really happy that I ended up finding all of those things with Pro Brake & Exhaust.

Went to Matt after multiple people referred us to his business. Have had multiple services performed there & always appreciate the quality, price, & the way he explains everything. Straight forward, but caring, especially to people we've referred there that might be vulnerable because of their lack of automotive knowledge. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this place! Matt and Chris were great, extremely knowledgeable and nice. They got me in and out once they found the part for my old car.

Service was quick, and fair pricing. Owner was polite, honest and great humor. He kindly discussed the problem with my car. His workers are hard workers and nice too.

Fair, friendly, and fast. Not sure what else you could be looking for in a mechanic. They took care of me and got me back on the road in less than a day. I went here based on the stellar Google reviews and was happy to find they exceeded all my expectations. I'll be back for sure when I need more auto repair/maintenance work done.

Shhh, the best kept secret in brookside. With prices of new cars at record highs it only make sense to keep what you have running. So if you are needing routine maintenance or something a little more. Give them a call or go by and talk to the team. I’m sure glad I did, they got my truck in and out. Thanks Matt.

Brakes...nagging, whining brakes are what sent me here. We asked our friends to recommend a reputable and reasonably priced certified mechanic and the only name given was Matt at Pro Brake on Gregory. Upon speaking on the phone with Matt, I was assured of a time slot for diagnostics and if we were agreeable, the work could be completed the same day of the diagnostics. That helped tremendously so that no extra time off work would be needed going forward.
After meeting Matt and Jack at the shop, I felt secure enough in the visual presentation that I could verify where there was an issue on my vehicle. The issue was previously confirmed by my brother but to have a reputable mechanic not attempt a lie or an embellishment of the repairs is exemplary customer care. I went alone for a reason. The repair industry typically chews and spits out female customers. Matt did no such thing. He is genuine and kind. Jack is genuine and kind and loyal. This shop will discuss the repairs and work with you for a resolution. No hassling.
It is an utter blessing to us that we have found a home for our out-of-warranty vehicles after searching for 4 years. Bravo and thank you Matt and Jack, for being the absolute best part of my day. Thank you for making an expensive repair tolerable. Thank you for allowing me to not worry about being lied to and manipulated. Matt is the epitome of honesty. You need to see him take the best care of your vehicles. You won't regret Matt's experience and Jack's expertise in repairing your vehicles; it's an effective combination. Matt and Jack have parted ways but Jack's replacement seems to have similar skills. I will let you know as time goes by. Matt, as always, is the nicest and hardest working old guy I've met in a minute lol. Matt and his tech Jack are really diamonds in the rough. Jack is sharp with electrical and computers in today's cars and trucks while Matt has been in the automotive service industry his whole professional life. He is fair priced and reasonable. And loves to talk lol. He genuinely cares about his customers and is in the hardest part of opening a new business in today's world: the first year in operation. I would highly recommend these two for your car and truck service needs. Their shop may look old, but the people and knowledge inside those doors are on point. And we the people are respected for our problems and needs that they can help with. I've known both of these guys for nearly twenty years, and I trust them both to take good care of me and my family's automotive needs. If you're in need of service, give them a shot. Matt is great. Saved me $200 after another place failed my state inspection. Showed me how everything was fine and gave me info to go back and get it passed with no fix necessary. Will be back!
