Brookside Sushi

First time here and was surprised on the flavor. I had the chefs special that came with a rainbow roll, shrimp killer roll and chimichang. Chimichang was not for me but had good was not horrible. The Daikin roll was good and tasted fresh. Yellow tail hand roll is a must get. Red dragon flavor was a hit as well. My wife had the chicken katsu and the breading was light and delicious. The pork gyoza is a must get for a starter . So when we are back up I. The KC area this is a must come back to.

Awesome fresh sushi! Couldn't recommend enough the food alone speaks for this place. Service was great never had to ask for anything. Left my card there and I live over half an hour away so they mailed it to me. Awesome people 10 out of 10

Everything that came out was superb! I highly recommend the torched salmon belly sushi. The server was a little slow with plates, sushi setups, and water refills.

Small & cozy little dime for Sushi.. Great atmosphere, customer service & food. Pork Gyoza & Shrimp Tempura are a hit! Definitely will be back for more! 😋

We decided to try a new to us sushi place today and we were not disappointed!! Brookside Sushi was awesome! I loved the variety of rolls. We tried The Brookside roll, Mango Ceviche roll and the Princess Leia roll ❤ Great atmosphere and the staff were so nice.
We will definitely be back!

This place isn't just your average sushi spot. This "hole in the wall" delivers good atmosphere and amazing sushi. The head chef is all smiles and you can tell that this is more than a job for all that work here. Would recommend over and over again 10/10!

My favorite sushi place in KC! Great selection, great prices / deals, always tastes super fresh. It’s a cozy spot to dine in at too. Only negative is they sometimes don’t respond to pickup orders :/ it’s hit or miss if I’ll be able to place an order either via text and/or calling in. Wish they had a better system in place for that specifically.

Great price, food and service! Love their sushi with hot sake! A must to have mini sukiyaki if you are a soup lover :)

A nice happy hour on weekend from 2-5 pm. And if you want to order take out instead of phone call, then try to do via text chat via google map chat!

Tried Brookside Sushi yesterday and loved it. The sushi was fresh, and the service friendly. Had the calamari, the red dragon roll, the shrimp killer roll, the Tum Katsu and a glass of Chardonnay. #eatlikealadyshould

I love the small salad they serve as an amuse bouche. The Pikachu roll and the burrito roll were fun and different. Bright interior atmosphere. It was clearly a popular place, full of people.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Came in was greeted immediately got seated and was able to order quickly. Everything came out tasting perfect. I'm in town for work and this will not be the last time I stop in for amazing sushi!!!

I have now been here twice, and I have to say I am impressed. Service is wonderful!! I really enjoyed the miso soup and spicy crab salad. Can't wait to come back soon.

First, lemme just say, from server to server you can always tell a baby server coming up in the industry. Even still, the service was great. The sushi I got, was pretty much made right in front of me. And it was amazing. Seeing the owner/chef in house while sitting on a wooden bench with pillows, in a corner surrounded by plants & sunshine was top tier! 10/10 recommend for all meals. Such a vibe too!

Remains the best plain old great sushi grade fish around. Excellent presentations and good folks serving. Well done

consistently the best sushi in the city and I don't know why I bother going anywhere else. to go orders are quick, staff is so friendly and helpful, easy to gluten free all of it, and the flavors are SO GOOD. Their chef is a rare gem- he's always friendly if you're at the bar (or grabbing a to-go!) and truly makes delicious rolls.

I would highly suggest Brookside Sushi to anyone. Salvy’s sushi is simply incredible and I can’t wait to go back and try more items on the menu. The mango ceviche roll was my favorite (pictured just before we devoured the last 2 bites), but the other 2 were equally delicious. We sat at the bar and talked to Salvador throughout our meal and it was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely amazing and the pictures/reviews don't do this place justice. We were presented with a free small bowl of crab salad to start which was really good. Then we picked up a few nigiri pieces (tuna/salmon) which were excellent! Tender and melt in your mouth quality. Then ordered the red dragon, Emílio and Philadelphia (fresh salmon) highly recommend those. Place is fantastic and service was good. This might end up being our new favorite over our long time go to blue sushi spot!

First time coming here. By far the best sushi. The tempora was so delicious, creamy, warm, just delightful. The spicy crab salad was also amazing. Salvador, was amazing with his over 30 year experience. Everyone was super friendly.
