Siphon Coffee

A cool Montrose coffee shop with good food. The avocado toast was really good and the chicken empanada was different than I’ve ever had but very flavorful. Both items were yummy.

Great local specialty coffee shop

Siphon is one of my go-to coffee shops whether it’s to get work done, read or relax. I’m not a big coffee drinker but the beverages here have always been amazing! If you’re unsure of what to order, I’d recommend the Barista Special and list your preferences and they will make a great drink for you!

Staff are super-friendly; I’ve never had a bad experience here. Cafe internet is solid and bathrooms are clean.

The cafe features indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating features a variety of styles including leather couches, counter-top and barstools, and traditional tables. Outdoor seating is mostly booths with cute overhead lights. I’d recommend avoiding outdoors when it’s really hot and/or dusk/dawn as there are mosquitoes. I do wish there were more outlet plugs at the cafe - these can be very limited when it’s busy.

The parking lot fills up quickly but there is plenty of (shaded) street parking a block over.

Sam the barista makes a great Rose-flavored latte

Purpose of visit: Came here to study on a Saturday; a couple of hours before the Texans vs Baltimore game.

Atmosphere: Inviting with just the right amount of space to focus without being distracted by foot traffic (don’t get me wrong, it was busy, but not overwhelming).

Nosiness: Typical coffee shop background noise; wasn’t too loud and they had faint music in the background (I had noise cancellation headphones, so it wasn’t a bother + when I took them off, I was content with the song selection).

Patrons: Diverse crowd (students, doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, readers, spectators) which is always nice.

Perk: Unlimited drip coffee for under $5.

Definitely recommend and I will frequent more often to get studying done.

Went in and ordered the salted caramel latte and honey nut latte for coffee and it was delicious. Ordered the Cranberry muffin and banana bread as well. Everything was delicious! 10/10 recommend 👌

I recently visited Siphon Coffee and had a generally positive experience. I ordered an almond latte, which was quite good, though there is one other coffee shop where I prefer their almond latte more. The food options at Siphon Coffee are impressive; I tried the mushroom and spinach quiche, and it wasn’t bad at all. Unfortunately, I think I came during peak time, so seating was quite limited, but the outdoor seating area was a nice alternative. Overall, Siphon Coffee offers good coffee and a solid food selection in a pleasant setting.

I can't say enough good things about this place.
A while ago I ordered delivery for my wife and asked them to add a message to the cup. They spiced it up and added real love to the message.
I had some issues with the order, called in, and the manager took the time to take care of me while her kids were in the room there with her.

When I went to eat in, the place was really nice, had a great vibe, and all sorts of people were there.
The food was delicious and interesting. They had great coffee but the food was surprisingly delicious and amazing. 10/10 recommend.

This place is fantastic in the following areas;

Food has a unique taste; my favorite is an eggs burger.

The speed for the food order and getting to your table to exceptional.

The drinks are incredible, especially the coffee flavors and the style they make.

The decor is superb; please try to outdoor ally setting area. It gives you a Mediterranean feel.

The staff were nice and quick. I got earl gray tea and quiche. Both were fabulous.

Very tasty coffee with other drink options, also ordered a tea that was good. They had good breakfast tacos and cozy seating. Great place to study or catch up with friends.

Road to here on my bike from my hotel near Hermann Park. I have to say... this place is really nice... when I arrived, I couldn't find anywhere to lock my bike up. However, they have a spot to put it next to the outdoor seating that is shaded and has fans to keep you cool (even in 100° weather).

When ordering an individual, was in front of me talking to the cashier and saying that they received the wrong order. The cashier apologized, gave them a refund, and gave them the food they ordered and the meal they mistakenly gave them.

When I ordered the cashier, was forthcoming and on point with recommendations. I ordered a cold brew, banana bread, and avocado toast.

In a matter of no less than five minutes, I had my order.

Pros: Great food, customer service, and coffee. Avocado toast had lots of avocado!

Cons: Not much parking or bike rack.

In all, it's an awesome place to chill and get some work done. I would HIGHLY recommend this coffee shop.

Vibe- Cozy coffee shop in Montrose with plenty of inside and outside seating. This would be a good spot to study, work, and/or hangout.

Customer service- Great! The barista was very patient with me and my order.

Food/drinks- I went with a hot matcha latte with oat milk and I also ordered the vegan taco trio that came with 3 tacos. I got 2 with black beans and potatoes and one with vegan chorizo. Everything I ordered was delish! *chef’s kiss*

Parking- It’s in a shopping strip so there’s about 30 parking spots and some street parking available too.

Siphon Coffee has solidified its place as our go-to spot for all things caffeinated. This was our second time ordering from them, and once again, they knocked it out of the park. The coffee and muffins were delicious, and helped our team meeting get off to a fantastic start.

The customer service at Siphon is exceptional. Not only did they ensure our order was delivered on time, but they also went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Whether it's vegan, gluten-free, or any other dietary preference, they have something for everyone.

We can't wait to order from them again!

Busy place but cozy. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and has good Wifi connection.

Nice place to grab a coffee and have a casual chat with your friend! A lot of people also come here to work on their laptops. Looks like a versatile place ro hang out in. Menu is good enough, not impressive, but really good for a cafe this size. Plenty of outdoor seating area in an L shape. But as is usually the problem with similar cafes, it is often very crowded…

I really like this place. It’s a great spot to study with food and good coffee drinks or teas. I’m really big on customer service and I will say that the customer service is great. I had an order mess up and they were able to fix the issue with no problem. The staff is very nice and welcoming but special thanks to Lawrence he really made my experience memorable

Located in Montrose, this hip coffee shop serves excellent food. The avocado toast stands out for its deliciousness, and the chicken empanada offers a unique yet flavorful twist. Both items are absolutely delightful.

I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try it although I will say that you have to bring your card and cannot bring cash. This location does not have cash and I really enjoy their empanadas the most. I would definitely recommend that with their chimichurri sauce, if you ever get to try this place because it is a little expensive and also like I mentioned, their parking lot situation is a little difficult. I love also their drinks and I think this place is great for families and dates. Great coffee too, As always much love from Houston and the universe. Ɛ>

If you’re looking for a new mexican style breakfast experience, this is the place. Good variety of delicious breakfast options with great presentation. The cafe has a great vibe. I highly recommend Huevos Rancheros. The sausage benedict is also unique, a benedict made with a flaky pastry and delicious sauce. The coffee is also really good.

I had a blast here with my partner. Food was good, servers were so sweet and kind and helpful. Atmosphere was great! I could definitely come here and study more often. This was my first time being there and I was not disappointed. Coffee was super good too. Definitely recommend.
