Went in to pick up a figure from their fantastic shelf of Marvel Selects, forgot my wallet, and they were so kind as to drive out to my home to hand it back to me
Not to mention the store just felt friendly and inviting, I absolutely recommend checking the place out as a collector of figures and a comics reader because the selection there is lovely too

Favorate local comic store, owner is really nice anf friendly, Store is well kept and always has newest comics, even has a kids section for younger readers. They also sell boards, bags, boxs, and even figures.

You can sell your old comics as well. Everyone is nice and friendly.
Rven has a large selection of older issues you can by and gets alt covers for your subscritions if requested as well as sells alt cover comics on there own.

Pop Culture Comics is a very approachable comic book store with friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, ample inventory of current books, trades, and omnibus. Highlight of my week is to visit the store and this weeks books.

This is a stellar LCS for picking up recent/current issues. Staff is very friendly and helpful and always offers to get you on the wait list for anything they don't currently have in stock.

I wanted to add, I've brought my 5 year old son in with me a couple times and the staff has been very friendly about it. Granted, I keep a close eye on him and make sure he's being delicate with what he looks at but the owner specifically was very nice to him.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Reasonably priced. I will definitely be back next time I'm in KC.

Delighted to find that under new management, this shop is great! Always nice to stop in and the new owner has helped me get a number of things that I was looking for. Fully recommended!

I've had some decent experiences here but I'm honestly not sure how this shop stays in business or gets new customers- other than the fact that comics are wonderful. I don't know if the owner is independently wealthy or what but he does not treat most people that come in with kindness or interest. Not every experience here was bad but the bar for a business that is so service-oriented and customer facing should be much higher than that.

**I would be overjoyed to alter this review to a 5-star rating if things got demonstrably better.**

This is my personal favorite comic book shop! They've got a great selection of new and old comics and a growing selection of action figures and collectibles.
David, the store owner, is the nicest guy in the world. He does everything he can to help his customers out and find what they're looking for. He's an active part of the Kansas City comic book scene and always engaged in the conversation.

This is my go-to Comic Book store in the JoCo area. We are fortunate to have a few good ones and Pop is one of the best. They have a good pull system, are good with special orders and take care of their customers. You cannot go wrong with Pop.

Best comic store in Kansas! The owner was knowledgeable and friendly. When I am in the area, it will be my first stop. I enjoyed going though the stacks of boxes to seek out older titles as well as looking over some of the new releases on the wall. Ny only regret was that I didn't have enough time to finish going through the collection of books.

Good clean store with a little bit of everything. They had a large amount of new issues and some back issues as well. If you are a fan of Funko Pops and Figures they also have those in stock. If you are looking for a local comic shop to pick up the newer comics this is the store for you.

I came to this store because I was looking for a local comic shop. I had tried several in the metro and was neither disappointed or overly pleased by any of them. Then I found Pop Culture. The store itself is well kept. Finding the new releases is easy. But what really made me love this place is the service. I developed a true friendship with the owner Sid as well as Adam. They both can talk about the majority of the comics coming out and are responsible for my continues interest in comics. Some of the best stories I've read came by their recommendations. Sometimes I just go into the store to talk to whichever one is there.

If you check my review history you will see that I don't review places. I read reviews but don't leave them. I made an exception on this case because of how much this store has come to matter to me.

Don't believe the complaints about the service here. I've never had a bad experience after going on multiple times. I'd be willing to bet money the the majority are from competing shops that can't compete fairly.

I absolutely adore this shop so much that I drive an hour and 10 minutes to it every Wednesday. David is really cool and keeps a clean, organized shot. He knows his $#!+. Always playing good music too.

I wanted to update my review. Straight up 5 stars aren't enough to express how much I love this store. I first went in about a year ago. I had read comics as a kid and young teen but had been away from comics for a while. Sid was super friendly to me that day and helped me find the trade book ks I was looking for. New 52 Batman volumes 1 - 3. At first I visited the shop monthly to pick up a few books. During this time I built a great relationship with Sid and Adam. They got to know me and began recommending books they thought I would be interested in. Now I go every Wednesday to get my weekly pull list. It's the highlight of my week most weeks.

The shop itself is laid out very well and is in great condition. I recommend this store to any comic fan, people who are interested in popular culture, and really anyone with a pulse.

I love this comic book store. Sid is the owner and his right hand guy is Adam. Both are super nice and know what there talking about if you have any questions they will help you out. There fun to talk too. Every time I'm in there I spend extra time talking with them. By far the best comic book shop in Kansas, I've been to all the other ones as well. The other ones aren't bad stores but none of them compared to pop culture comics. So check them out

I buy comics here a few times each month, and have never had an issue. They always have new releases on time and plenty of back issues to go through. Good layout and always clean and organized inside. The guy who is always working when I go is always very nice.
They also have punch cards, which is awesome.

New to the area and just resently got into the comic hobby. After trying all of the comic shops in Overland Park, Pop Culture Comix has become my favorite shop. The owner gives a warm welcome to all that come in. Plus he is more than happy to assist you however you need. I have had a great experience everytime I have visited. Highly recommend.

Fantastic, and getting better all the time! I see improvements in merchandising and selection every time I go in. Courteous and invariably polite customer service. Very welcoming to young people, women, and families. A wonderful store for comics lovers of all ages.
