Delicious and colorful sandwiches at Butterfield’s Bakery & Market. Located inside of Lenexa City Center’s Public Market, this eatery is one you’ll want to try for yourself. The Firebird Fried Chicken Sandwich was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had. This sandwich came loaded with a homemade piece of fried chicken and some tasty purple veggies, which gave it a nice colorful look. This sandwich had a nice kick to it, which is something I look for in a chicken sandwich. Came with a side of salted chips. The waffle fries were very nice when dipped in ranch. The chicken salad sandwich was also quite delicious. I would recommend Butterfield’s Bakery for those looking for some homemade food. I’ll definitely be back.

Located inside Lenexa Public Market, you will find some of the tastiest treats, pastries, and sweets! The most popular item to order at Butterfield’s Bakery are the macaroons. I decided to go with the Creme Brulee and the Peanut Butter Oatmeal Fudge Bar. The Creme Brulee had a perfect creamy consistency underneath a thin layer of caramelized sugar. They even caramelize the creme brulee right in front of you! Butterfield’s Bakery also has fresh cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, loaves of bread, and creamy milkshakes. OMGoodness this place. We came for the macaroons and left with several yummy treats. Also had the B&G, the sausage gravy was good and flavorful but didn't care much for the biscuits. Almost like a cornbread, and a little dry for my liking. My daughter LOVED the macaroons and the variety they have. We'll be back!

One of my favorite places since moving here a few months ago! Everything is delicious and makes it so hard to decide what to get every time. The grilled cheese and soup is my favorite, their shakes are great, and of course all of the baked goods are incredible. We’ve splurged on one too many macarons, with no regrets! Their cinnamon rolls are also to die for 😄

My only wish is that they would post more about what daily bakery items they had! They switch up their macarons (which is great!), and I think this would be a great way to have more people come in such as myself if I knew my favs were there 😊

So many different kinds of macaroons... So hard to decide because they are all so good! The Nutella almond croissant is kind of dry and hard, maybe it'll taste better if is fresh.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever had! We had the Chicken Avocado BLT and it was so good that I cannot wait to go back and get another one. It is definitely big enough to share too! We also got the waffle cheese fries and they were equally impressive!

We tried several bakery items and they were all good. The little food court at the Lenexa Market is cute, so I am glad that this bakery is actually good quality food, to live up to the hype of the location. I’m sure the sandwiches and stuff are also good but we are happy to stick with dessert.

Nice Breakfast/brunch with specials. Rosemary in gravy of bisquits and gravy was excellant and unexpected. Frenh toast, Breakfast burrito and big breakfast were great as well.

I can only answer to the desserts here and they are great! The macaroons are delicious and they have a lovely selection. My son chose a red velvet parfait and he really enjoyed it. We will be back!

Had the Italian sandwich with sweet potato fries today and oh my...it was delicious! I've eaten a lot of Italian sandwiches but this had some special! and picked up some great bakery items for dessert! I can't wait to go back for the rest of the menu!!

This is a wonderful jewel at the Lenexa Public Market. I was anxiously awaiting the opening today and it did not disappoint. The owner, Kate Smith, has been a premier pastry chef in Kansas City with decadent and beautiful desserts and it is wonderful to see her expand into a full restaurant. I had a VERY delicious bacon and cheese sourdough sandwich with jalapeños and a berry jam and it was SO good. I can’t wait for our next trip!!!

Found this place close by for lunch. My wife got a chicken salad sandwich, and I got Fire Bird which needed more spice. Nevertheless it was delicious. And price was great as well. There are other item on the menu that I would like to try if I come and visit the area again.

Food and service were both great! One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time, and my wife loved her Tomato Tortellini soup and Greek salad!

The food is AMAZING! The service is always quick even during a lunch rush. It's nice to have something with home-cooked quality taste (in the best possible way!) to grab. The sweets are equally as phenomenal!

I like to have their breakfasts on the weekend. The bkfst sandwich, extra bacon is SO good. And the people are off the charts Nice. My first choice for breakfast eating out!!!!

Unique, tasty sandwiches and incredible breads and desserts. Great spot for a quick, delicious lunch. Can't wait to try their breakfast menu!

Great food! We had the Italian and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Both were some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in along time!

My wife and I have tried more than half the sandwiches on the menu and have been very impressed with all of them, I would definitely recommend trying their pulled pork and waffle fries.
