Shamrock Cafe

One of my favorite spots ever. My husband proposed here back in 2019 and will always be special. So thankful for Shamrock Farms for sharing their slice of heaven with us!

If you're a Kansas enthusiast then this site is for you. If you're not then this site is still for you. Grab your sunpacker and fill it with sandwiches, apples and couple Caymen Jacks margaritas. Don't forget to throw a bag of Sour Cream and Onion Ruffles chips into your backseat for the trip. I'd recommend parking on the north side of Pavillion Rd. You'll find a primitive bistro set awaiting your arrival. There's actually seating for three (3). Take something or leave something in the cache under the table. You might find some beer money if you're good people. Pack it in and pack it out. If you have a sharpie sign a brick under the table and maybe leave a doodle of a cutsey sunflower. The views are classic Kansas and you won't want to leave. Visit soon and often.

The best part of this place is finding it. I came from the Konza Tallgrass Prairie lookout on Hwy 117 and the drive was really fun and pretty. Definitely not the stereotypical Kansas you see and hear about. The cafe setting is fun and offers a great view. I stayed for about 10 minutes and continued on my trip.

Saw it on the map and laughed that Google must've misplaced something but riding out past it, a sign caught my eye and sure enough I had stumbled upon Shamrock Café!

It's a small overlook, looking out over beautiful Kansas rolling hills, with a few chairs and a solid table it's a great spot to just relax or take a friend to and enjoy. Also a little geocache there too!

Agreed with other reviewers that the drive is part of the awesomeness of this place. The topography is not what you'd expect from Kansas at all. Lots of dirt roads, but nothing unsafe.

Be sure to open the metal box and sign the guest book -- I could have sat here all day! Such a great road trip stop.

Great, secluded place to be with friends, family and loved ones. Best time to go right before sunset, where you can look over the hills to the color changing sky. Very relaxing!

Unique place with a great view. I would recommend bringing your own food and sitting down for a bit.
