Candlewood Suites Salina, an IHG Hotel

Stayed for 1 night traveling across country on I-70, with 2 large dogs, it was fine for our purpose, lots of decent restaurants nearby, nearby parks to walk the dogs, and rooms large (2 large dog crates) and clean. We typically stay at the higher IHG level Staybridge suites with the pups so this is definitely lower end, but the price point reflects that. The customer service was excellent (Jo)! It’s set back from the main road so less noise but still hear I-135 traffic. There is an honor system for snacks and food which was cute and lots to choose from. The gym was surprisingly decent after/before a day in the car. My only negative thing was little to no room in the bathroom for items so a long term stay might be challenging but we had a handicap room so maybe that is why and there were no King bed options, perhaps they were all booked.

I gave it a five star because the rooms were clean, staff very friendly. Not a fancy hotel by any means, but not a dive either. If you need a clean, quiet place to stay that won't break the bank, this place should do fine.

Pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Everything within commutable distance too.
Ladies behind reception were always super friendly and helpful about places to go within the local area.

We stayed at this hotel last night on our way to N.C. from Colorado. Five stars all the way!
We own a large cleaning company so we tend to be extremely critical of cleanliness and can solidly say it was immaculate. This is our top priority when staying away from home. While there wasn’t a breakfast offered or pool or other amenities some may want we found this hotel perfect. They do have an honor pay system for breakfast items and microwave meals and snacks.
We will definitely stay here again.
Recommend to anyone looking for a super clean, quiet, low key hotel with a super friendly staff!

Moving from across the country and stopped here on our way. Rooms were basic but had everything you needed! Pet-friendly which was awesome for our dog!

Plenty of space for us to park our small uhaul trailer and very well-lit parking lot so we felt safe with break-ins, etc.

Would definitely stay here again if we’re passing through!

I stayed here at this hotel back in August 2021 for an event that was taking place in Salina. The inside of the hotel was pretty clean, and the staff at the front counter was polite. The room I had was also pretty clean, too. I especially liked the morning sun rise looking out the window.

I love staying at Candlewood and this was a special one. The staff are ALL AWESOME. THE rooms large roomie and a well stocked kitchenette. Cleanliness was their main focus and they are successful. Thank you for the great comfy stay. Thank you again the Boston Lady in rm 307

The overall experience was excellent! Very nice outside relaxation area. Room was immaculately clean Many. Many food options within walking distance. One thing that stood out for me was the call being made to the room to make sure everything is okay with the room. I travel ALOT and no other hotel has done that! Huge around of applause to the entire staff 👏

Loved my stay!! This place really is great. Super clean, the beds are really comfortable, rooms are a really nice, and they have a lot of little extras that were so cool -- a cupboard where you can get food at any time on the honor system, so you don't have to mess with checking out, a bag of popcorn in the microwave in my room with a bowl to hold it, just nice little extras I didn't expect that were great after coming off the road from a long drive, felt more like home than typically hotels. Staff was super nice as well and let me have a late checkout on short notice. Will definitely be back.

This hotel was a surprise. It was the last one available but I have had a better experience here then I have at Hilton's. The rooms were clean
( and I'm a clean freak) no critters
( that's a plus) service was wonderful ( Lexi at the front desk- New girl) the manger in the morning. Their mini dove soaps and pillows are a perfect touch. Thank you candlewood got havinng us on our way thru!!

Very clean and the rooms are modern... the only complaint is no fans in the bathrooms so it gets humid and muggy quickly. Other than that I recommend this place with a five-star rating!

Rented a room due to loosing electricity. Walked in without a reservation. Friendly and very considerate receptionists. In a room in 10 minutes with wife & our dog as they are per friendly. Room cost around $130 + non-refundable $30 pet deposit. Room was mordern, clean, & spacious. 2 queen beds, full kitchen w/range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, pots, pans, & everything to set the table! Full bath w/shower. Supper comfy beds with several options of firmness of pillows. Down comforter and sheet set was soft as butter. If I go on vacation I know that I'm looking for a Candlewood Suites!

My husband and I needed a pet friendly place to stay on our drive to Colorado. This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was close to a dog park for our pup as well as restaurants. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was clean and our room was quiet.

Room was clean, comfortable and a great size. We only stayed one night, but could have comfortably had an extended stay. The staff was nice and helpful. Location was safe and convenient to food, gas shopping and the highway. The candlewood cupboard was well stocked and cheaper or comparable to any convenient store pricing. I will definitely stay again.

This place is great! We were on a roadtrip from North Dakota to Texas. It was getting late and we were searching for a place to stay. We got a great price for the night and was happily surprised. The room was clean with a full kitchenette. They have free washer and dryer, a cute little store with food to purchase (including Ben and Jerry's ice cream) and phone chargers to borrow if you need one. Highly recommend this place!

This hotel is a gem hidden away in Salina, KS. Recently remodeled. Rooms are immaculate, and full service (i.e., kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, large screen TV). Great attention to detail in kitchen implements and room furnishings. Quiet. Very comfortable beds. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and responsive. Thank you, Joni, Front Desk Manager!

I loved everything about this place. The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was amazing (especially Joanie). I was there visiting my son in college and wanted to cook him some home cooked meals so the kitchenette is what attracted me to this hotel and it was perfect. They had everything we needed from toaster oven to wine openers and we even checked out a few games to have family game night. This will definitely be my home while visiting him in the future.

Friendly staff, very clean, many nice small touches, free laundry, free condiments & coffee, free loaner toaster oven, crock pots, G Foreman, two nice outside gas BBQ, and premium linens and towels. Very fair price for longer stay. My wife and I stayed 10 days and were very comfortable. Absolutely no complaints!!

We have gotten to know the staff at candlewood Suites. we have been here now over two months, and from day one, anything we have needed, they have been there for. We highly recommend candlewood.
