Woodland Valley Park

Perfect respite. A small park with one picnic table at the end of a residential street. Lots of mature shade trees.

Quiet wooded playground with short nature trails.

It’s a newer park with a nice, though small, playground. The playground and picnic tables are fully shaded by trees. Parking is just on the street, so it’s not a place that can handle more than 1-2 groups at a time.
There are a few short walking paths thru the woods that are really nice for a quick nature walk! We found snails, various insects, and the boys had a great time using sticks to “dig” in the giant dirt/wood chip pile.
Be careful to wear hats and tick repellant!! We found several tiny seed ticks on us and our dog’s foot pads. They aren’t hard to remove, just annoyingly small and easy to miss.

The nature trail is like 200' long... 🤷‍♂
