Very cute place. People are friendly. I pulled in just as everything was closing so i rushed through, but loved it. Had fun feeding the Buffalo in the back of the gift shop. Paid $8 for museum but didn't have time to enjoy it thoroughly. But what I read/saw was worth it.

Such a funny and educational place! Ive been in North Dakota for a couple of months for work, on the surface, there isn’t much to do here, but this is truly a hidden little gem. Only about an hour from Fargo, and absolutely worth the drive. Not only are the views on the way beautiful, the destination is so charming! I was expecting to only see a big statue, and was instead surprised by an educational and entertaining museum, a park, and a wonderfully preserved little pioneer town. The street leading to the Buffalo statue is lined with preserved buildings, the insides of each also preserved for the public to view and interact with. There is also a small park for the kids, and herds of wild Buffalo you can see from the binoculars provided on site. Super cool experience and a must-do if you’re visiting the area!

This is brilliant and well worth a visit. Its a really impressive statue of a bison and can be seen from miles away. The little early pioneer village next to it is also very interesting, as is the museum. If you are going along the I-94, its well worth stopping here to take pictures. The only thing they should do is paint the concrete base green, otherwise very impressive.

No living buffalo roaming to see today (they must have all been in the barn) but there is indeed the World's Largest Buffalo to see. His name is "Dakota Thunder" and he's huge! If you're patient, you can perhaps get a picture of him without any bystanders. Welcome to the Buffalo City!

Unveiled in 1959, he is 26 feet tall and 46 feet long and is made of steel and stucco. It is indeed anatomically correct though real buffalo aren't this large. The buildings that surround the buffalo are authentic though they were moved here in the last few decades to make up the Frontier Village. Interesting gift shops and frontier trinkets and even an ice cream place.

There is no charge to visit the World's Largest Buffalo Monument and a small parking lot is at the end of the road.

This was a fun stop on our journey from Fargo to Bismarck in North Dakota. Kinsa touristy but some history to be had. Of course we had to visit the largest buffalo statue in the world!

Visiting the village and buffalo statue were free. The museum was reasonably priced and very informative. The idea that humans took the Buffalo population from 30 million plus to less than a thousand was mind blowing, and the conservation efforts supported by this place and others like it are commendable.

Was beautiful n really neat to look at the old building and things they were used for back in time. Got to see Bison with a baby out wandering and grazing. They have a telescope you can get a great view of the bison. Kids and adults had a great time.

Such a beautiful and unexpected attraction! Gorgeous views, the western town is adorable plus an ice cream shop and Jack Londonds typewriter and his published books. It was unseasonably warm that day, make sure to bring water!

Great little place with lots of fun things to do. There is a buffalo museum, a cute frontier town, a mini train, a train caboose, a small playground, and of course...the World's Largest Buffalo! It really is huge, and it is set up really nicely which makes it awesome for pictures! Definitely worth a stop if you are traveling through the area. They also advertised a live buffalo herd, although we didn't see any on our stop. Maybe next time!

Always a fun stop. Neat little western village set up. Depending on the time of year, there are pony and stagecoach rides. And of course the giant buffalo.

The whole area here is pretty neat. It is more than just a Buffalo, though that alone is worth the stop. They have a little old town setup that you can walk through and check out how life was back over 100 years ago. They also have a General Store, Trading Post, and a few Souvenir Shops. There are a lot of photo ops and little playgrounds for kids too.

Nice giant Buffalo! Parking closest to the sculpture is not that big so be prepared to park a bit further back during busy times.

It was really quite on my visit. Only a few people out. I had my dog with me.
Very nice scenery around. It's worth a quick stop off the highway to stretch your legs or something. Looks like it might have more to see and do when the weather is warmed up and the other attractions are opened. I didn't get to see any live buffalo, but myself and the dog enjoyed the big statue of one.

Meat roadside attraction. Well worth an hour to stop and see the buffalo as well as the little western town and the buffalo museum. They have a small herd of real buffalo.

We liked the giant cow monument more than this monument, but it is still pretty cool.

On a whim we took a break enroute to Fargo and stopped to see the Buffalo. It was fun and we explored the old fashioned western street too! Jamestown had a really good ide! The real buffalo could not be seen because they were down in the canyon but that couldn’t be avoided.

The giant buffalo is very cool and very big! It was a perfect place to stop for a picnic lunch and explore the little frontier town. The coolest thing though had to be the herd of buffalo. There was even a white buffalo among them and they were so fun to watch. I would definitely recommend this stop to anyone traveling through the area!
