The Willow Tree

WOW! I am amazed with this small town diner. The atmosphere is relaxing. The music is great. All songs I knew and could sing. Lol. The waitress is by far one of the friendliest person next to my sister. The food not only tasted great but looked delicious. The sausage links are the best I've had so far. It didn't have a TV which in my opinion is awesome. I think everyone should enjoy your environment and conversate more than stare at a TV. The price was well worth it for what I received. I will be returning and would suggest anyone passing through Willow Springs, MO should give this place a gander.

First confession, I grew up in Willow and in over twenty-five years, not once did I eat here. Of course then it was North's Cafe and the more prolific and social acceptability use of tobacco might have dissuaded my delicate constitution. Second confession, I'm a cheep date. Any place that can scramble eggs without serving them with the uncooked slim will garner high marks. Little know fact, the first draft of the American Constitution included cooking runny eggs, along side treason, as a crime punishable by death.
Very much enjoyed our breakfast. Top tier pancakes, fully cooked eggs and protein, and wow...biscuits and gravy were on point. Very reasonably priced and opened for the early crowd (my preferred breakfast hours are always before 7:30a) As with most quaint diners of small town USA, don't be in a hurry. Part of the charm is the wait for the food and the conversation that ensues. All the same, wait was around 10 minutes or so.
Very friendly service and the dining area was very clean. Looked like booths and tables throughout could seat around 30 plus or minus (not sure if the Fire Marshal would agree but...) Also had some outdoor seating if you didn't mind the fumes from Gas Plus wafting in with your meal. Sorry, did scope out the restrooms.
Great job Willow Tree. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, but when I'm in town I will be sure to stop by again.

My husband and I were here 2 weeks ago killing time while waiting on a friend. It was after noon and we hadn't eaten so we thought to stop by and try out this spot. We eat keto and there was nothing on the menu truly keto but the waitress and the chef were extremely helpful. I was blow away by how delicious the eggs were! I'm super picky so I could tell the difference. Best eggs I've had at a restaurant, ever. The food was made as we requested, too. All in all, it was a great experience and we will be frequenting this quaint, relaxing diner again on a regular basis... as soon as we move into our new place.

Stopped in yesterday, my first time visiting. So clean and inviting. Waitress and owner were very friendly, took time to explain menu and options. Owner is professional and kind. The food was affordable and delicious. I wish him all the success!! Overall it's a highly recommend place to eat!

Our first time as customers since we moved to Missouri/Willow Springs. Quaint, small town atmosphere and the staff were very nice and friendly, and laughed at our jokes. The Sunday breakfast was really very good and the wife and I enjoyed our meals. It seemed like the whole town was in there, and I guess we were lucky to find a booth, but, that lends itself to the small, homey size of the room. It's all in the timing. I was happy to sign a promotional photo for the establishment, and we look forward to visiting the Willow Tree Cafe again soon. You should too.

I live in Willow Springs, I drive truck cross country but when I’m home I have breakfast here almost every morning sometimes time gets away from me. My wife and I have eaten here several times together. The food is awesome the prices are great and the staff is phenomenal. Thanks Mike for having such a great little spot for locals to enjoy each other’s company. Can’t wait for the move for you to be completed.

Stopped by here on a road trip and was pleasantly surprised! The reviews were good, but looking at the outside I would have never even noticed it. The food is definitely worth the stop. We both had the po boys (steak & catfish) and they were both delicious. Good sized portions, but not too much so that I could clean my plate and still consider dessert. Don't know if I'll ever be back in town, but if I am, I'll be coming here again!

Stopped in for breakfast and had a phenomenal visit. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast and it did not disappoint. Portions were generous, price was cheap, and everything tasted homemade. Service was as good as it gets anywhere.

I had the Breakfast Sandwich instead of toast or biscuit I went with pancakes, thick sliced ham, scrambled eggs, and American cheese. My wife had create your own skillet with eggs, hash browns and mushrooms.

I would recommend.

Little dinner off of the main strip?, we had breakfast there, not a large menu selection but the food was excellent and you definitely get enough for your money. If you are a cheese-hound you might ask for extra on the build your own skillet. We went on a weekday and they seemed popular. There were people calling in for pickup orders also. They do have Reuben Sandwich on the lunch specials. :-) Enjoy!

Daddy daughter breakfast date before our tattoo appointment and we were not disappointed! We were seated promptly and had our food in no time! Our server was funny and super helpful. The food was really good. We will go back

We had the Catfish Po Boy with fried mushrooms, Chicken strips, and Patty melt. All 3 were delicious. Our server was great. The food took awhile, but almost every table in the restaurant was full!

This is a wonderful small town diner. Service was friendly and constantly made sure our drinks were full. The food was absolutely incredible. The chicken fried steak, hash browns, pancakes, bacon, I could sit here and list it all but simply put the entire meal was amazing. I will go out of my way to eat here.

Stopped there for lunch spontaneously on a motorcycle ride from Springfield to Cape Girardeau. Great service and food even though the place was very busy at the time. This speaks to the management, wait staff and cooks - great all around.

Pleasantly surprised by how early they open to start. The service was great and because of the precautions we are taking we decided to take out. A very attentive and knowledgeable woman came out and brought our food to us! We knew we made at that time a great choice. The food was delicious and the service the same. Highly recommend!

Genuinely the most pleasant and comforting restaurant we’ve been in a while. It was clean, the service was phenomenal (my coffee cup was never empty once), and the food was out of this world. It was like home away from home. We will be stopping here every time we come back this way. Absolutely the best experience. 15/10. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

My friends and I were hungry and I googled Cafe near Willow Springs and this one was the first to come up. We came here and the food was great the service was excellent. We were treated like old friends the minute we walked in the door. I would recommend this place to everyone. I will be back.

Stopped on the way back from floating on the river and found this place. The service? Outstanding. The cleanliness? Clean. The food? Phenomenal. We will be stopping here every year for the rest of my life. I could not recommend this place more. You want a good breakfast come here. Don’t look anymore. You found it. You win.

Absolutely perfect!! Great food...very friendly employees...and you will never leave this restaurant hungry. The portions are just right and they have the best cooks. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
