Stark Caverns

This is a must see cavern in Missouri! Seen lots of different ones, however this one sure has a great story to tell. Liz, our tour guide, was wonderful! Very informative and was great at pointing out critters and formations in the cave! Thank you for a fantastic experience! Next time you are at the Lake of the Ozarks, check it out!

We traveled to Stark Caverns during our Lake of the Ozarks stay, and the drive was not a long trek, which was great because we had several kids of varying ages in tow (16, 13, 11, 5, & 5). The visitor's center was very welcoming, and they had a good variety of reasonably priced souvenirs. The geode cutter was really cool for our group, as we have a few rock hounds in our party! Our tour guide, Paula, met us at the allotted time slot and was super friendly right out of the gate. We all felt like we were with someone who not only enjoyed her job as a guide, but knew a good deal of history and fun facts about the cave. We did have one kiddo in our party in a wheelchair, but he didn't feel like he got left out of any of the fun, as the tour was 90% wheelchair accessible.

Hands down one of the coolest cave tours in the Midwest! Absolutely loved our tour guide, Lee, he made the experience even cooler with his stories and awesome light tricks, along with his knowledge of the history of the cave. Definitely a great experience for the whole family, 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!

It’s so beautiful, and the rich history is captivating!When we first got into the gift shop to purchase our tickets, Paula was the one to help us with that, she was so friendly and down to earth! In addition to that she was knowledgeable about the stones they had in the store, and beyond that she was friendly and funny! Our tour guide, Jamie, was amazing! She told us so many pieces of the history there and her own personal experiences which made the entire experience very captivating for my daughter and I! We so enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend to anyone wanting an amazing cave experience! I would say the only thing we wished was different was if they made the bat t-shirts with the sunglasses in adult sizes because if they did they would have sold two more today!

Stopped on a whim while driving through Missouri back to Michigan. This place was so cool! Way bigger than I expected. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went during the off season so the three of us had a "private" tour which was cool. Gift shop had nice options for someone like me who loves rocks and random crystals and fossils. Definitely worth stopping if you're in the area!

We had Lee as our tour guide on a Saturday Morning! He was wonderful and told a lot of good jokes. My family learned a lot about the caverns and how he has been doing this for 42 years! It’s good to see people doing what they love!! I would recommend this tour to anyone and the area around it is beautiful!

Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable on the Cavern. Our tour guide, Matt, was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the Cavern. The gift shop had a lot cute and cool little knick knacks. Highly recommend coming here!

Just off the highway about a mile. The store is well stocked and clean. There is a deck around it with tons of wooden rocking chairs. The tour was great with a knowledgeable guide leading the way. The tour took about an hour and was a pretty good walk with stairs in some areas. You don't need to be an athlete, but it might be difficult if you have mobility issues. Great location and staff.

We visited the Stark Caverns during the off season, so we ended up with a private tour, it was awesome! We were treated like royalty and our guide really new the history of the caverns and its use over the years - so interesting...we give Paula the highest review - "Attagirl!"

This tour was so cool. Guide was super well informed and passionate. Lighting in the cave was really well done to enhance the viewing of the true magnificence of this place. Even my two teenagers were fascinated!

What a fantastic experience! Karen our guide and very informative and personable making our tour so much fun! We have been to many natural caverns over the years and truthfully it takes something special to set them apart from one another. Stark Cavers is a step above because of the super friendly people making this a fun AND educational experience!

We really enjoyed our visit!!! Paula was an amazing tour guide! She offered many informal details & had a great sense of humor! What a gorgeous cave. The lights made it even cooler! We will be back! Also, I loved all of the Halloween decor! 🎃 🧡

We were visiting from California and looking for things to do. If you have children that love exploring this is a great place. It's very educational and they get to see and get to learn about the way the cave was formed and how some kiddos hide in the cave. We did the dark tour! So fun, but cold so wear a warm jacket.

We just finished our tour with Christy I believe that was her name tall skinny brown hair and glasses. She was amazing we loved our tour it was awesome. We learned so much today, you can tell she really loves her job. She even went the extra mile to help me pick out the best necklace for our granddaughter. We loved our tour! It took around an hour. We had one person on crutches and they were able to do most of the cavern tour with us. Our tour guide (Paula) was was entertaining and knowledgeable. She kept the adults and little ones engaged. Highly recommend!!

Stark Caverns was a very impressive and unique cave! The water features of the cave are just incredible and nothing like I've seen in caves before. Our tour guide, Paula, was absolutely incredible and wish every cave tour guide was like her! Funny, interesting, no rush, detailed...just great! She even pointed out several tiny bats in the cave that nobody would have spotted otherwise. The grounds themselves were very welcoming and well taken care of. Such a great spot to see a cool cave and have a righteous picnic!

My tour guide was Paula and she was so incredible! She was inviting, super knowledgeable and made the entire experience amazing. This will definitely be a place that I come back to on my next trip to the Ozarks.

This is a "sleeper" cave that probably doesn't get enough acclaim. The surrounding next to the cave entrance are beautiful, there are a couple short hiking trails, and a very pretty pond. Lee (our tour guide) was exceptional, and both my wife and myself were enthralled with the beauty and oddities that this cave offered.

My family and I had a great time at the caverns. Our guide, Lee, was really knowledgeable and our kids really liked him. Also, the location was very pretty! We definitely recommend this place and we plan on going back our next visit to the Lake.

The cave was AMAZING!! We saw all the critters that Paula said we would! Paula was a great tour guide she was very funny and stated facts on everything in the cave! She answered all the questions we had and allowed us to stop to take pictures and enjoy the different floor stories of the cave. She made sure if you were in a big group that everyone in the group got to see each thing! I would most definitely recommend coming to explore this historical cave and learn all about it!!
