Really cool to see the history of the County. My wife was even able to find long lost relatives and even a childhood friend of her grandma! Very interesting seeing the history of the Lake, and the cabins outside. We have some things to add to the museum and will be back soon with those.

Meticulous history of Miller county and its residents through the century.
2 levels of extensive and thoughtful areas of American history and Miller County's presence during each time period.
Super helpful museum assistants and a scavenger hunt for kids.
Easy to understand exhibits and loads of local artifacts.

The Miller County Museum is exceptional. It has many exhibits that are well organized and clearly interpreted. There are wheelchair ramps to access both floors. Also, there are 2 log cabins. Although there is no entry fee, donations would really help.

This place was so cool! For a smaller, county museum, and as a lifelong lake resident, I'd never checked it out. Well worth the trip!

Outside the Museum you can step inside an 1860's log cabin and view a slave cabin. Inside the Museum there are 6,000 square feet of exhibits, including an Audio-Visual Center and research library. Open from mid-May to mid-October on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 to 4.
