Rusty Rooster Breakfast and Lunch

This place is some of the best food you could have locally here at the lake. Me and my family used to come here every Sunday but it’s gotten so busy that it’s hard to get in to be able to enjoy a meal at our favorite restaurant. To me that is a good thing because it puts money in the locals pockets here.the service is stellar the inside looks awesome and the food is some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Drinks and cocktails are always unique and very well presented. Thank you for another good meal and another good visit on a beautiful Sunday.

Delicious, home style, comfort breakfast. Definitely expect a wait if you’re coming on a weekend, but worth it. Portions are MASSIVE, just about everybody we saw leaving had at least one to-go box with them. I’d definitely recommend their Bloody Mary!

Best breakfast in town! The food and drinks are amazing, the staff is always kind and attentive, overall A+ all around. Just make sure you book a reservation on Google, they are very popular

We skipped out on our FREE breakfast at Margaritaville and came here.
It did not disappoint!! I chose not to have all the added toppings on my French toast. It was delicious 😋. The hashbrown portion was very large, I couldn't finish it.
Now the coffee! It was a great cup. I had one to go, of course. The one small detail was that the table was cleared off, and I was adding my sugar and cream. The waitress brought back a stir stick for me. That I appreciate in great service. 😉

I ordered the Sunrise Shrimp and Grits. It was amazing! Very flavorful with just enough heat. Very filling. Service was outstanding! It will definitely be added to my must to stopping place in the future!

I did some mental math and I’m pretty sure this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Everything ordered was delicious!! We were greeted as soon as we entered and immediately seated. The entire staff was so friendly.

This is the place to eat breakfast. I got the Mother Clucker, partially just to say that order to the waitress, but it was SO good. The little chicken and waffle sandwiches were crispy and sweet with homemade fried chicken. Phenomenal. My boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy, a classic, and this was also well done. Cute atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend and we will be back. Update: we came back. Still amazing!

The food was delicious and the shrimp grits were spicy. I wanted to try the cinnamon roll but being gluten intolerant it was a no for me 🥲 They were very busy and we did have a bit of a wait but the staff was friendly and we were able to get a drink to keep us until a table opened up. I loved the interior and all the decor. (They had gluten free bread!)

Wanted a yummy breakfast before we headed back home after a weekend of fun with family… this place sold us! Adorable, friendly, and fast service! We used the waitlist app attached to their Google page and it was easy.

Hash browns were so crispy, strong coffee, loved this place! We will return next year when we come back

Went for brunch. Staff was excellent and the food was great! Tried the Spicy Omelet and husband had the ham and cheese Omelet with a pancake. They were HUGE! Spicy Bloody Mary's were delightful and hit the spot! Will definitely be back!

Best French toast I’ve ever had! The pictures don’t do this place justice. You’ve gotta see it and experience it in person.
It was pretty busy (9:15am on a Sunday during bike fest). We were immediately greeted by Angela. She was friendly and informed us of the wait and seating options. The wait was about 1/2 hour for groups of four or more but my husband and I were able to snag some FCFS seats at the bar. We opted for bar seating which was immediately available. Madison was our bartender and despite being very busy, Madison kept up with the crowd flawlessly.
I had the French toast and ordered a side of bacon and a side of home fries. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, home fries, and a pancake. I also had hot tea and a mimosa.
French toast used to be my favorite breakfast meal until I ordered it over and over at restaurants only to be disappointed. Other restaurants overdue the seasonings, don’t cook it properly and then load the top with thawed out fruit that drench the breeding and make it soggy. I’m not sure what made me give it a try here but I did. Rusty Rooster sets the bar high. This was perfect.
The home fries were the freshest, most delicately cooked potatoes with the perfect seasoning. There was just enough crisp without making these crunchy. Everything we ordered was perfect. Truly delicious.
I’ve found my new favorite breakfast place.
Can’t wait to come back and try their lunch options.

This place is DELICIOUS. The service is phenomenal and the food is spectacular and the portions are very generous. Gluten free and healthy options are available, as well as lunch served all day. Anybody can find something they love here. We've been here twice this trip and plan on coming again when we're back in town. Can't recommend it enough! Pictures are the egg white frittata and the bananas foster waffles.

We stopped here while staying the weekend at the lake and let me tell you the whole experience here was WOW! I first ordered the shrimp and grits. Let me tell you it was amazing!! We were so impressed we couldn't wait to eat breakfast here the next day! The coffee was amazing and so was the service each time. It left us wishing we had this restaurant in St. Louis. We'll definitely be back some day!

Will never go through this area without stopping at the Rusty Rooster! Staff was amazing and the food was better. With some great menu selections you don't find many places... who has ever heard of a Pancake Burrito before. I had the Mother Clucker and my wife had some version of a Monte Cristo... Both were amazing!!!

Absolutely amazing home-cooked breakfast diner. Fantastic farm to table food that is always served fast and fresh! The wait staff is nothing but extraordinary, with nothing but top notch service. Blows every chain restaurant and most local restaurants out of the water, always looking forward to the rust rooster 🐓!

We love finding breakfast gems when we are on vacation and this place hit the spot! From the service to the food and the wait time, everything was on point. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We got the breakfast quesadillas and the Benedict Florentine. Highly recommend!

Great employees, friendly. Well lit, warm and comfy. You definatel get your money's worth. Large portions, took 1/2 home for later. Tried the lobster omelet with hash browns. Coffee's great tasting. There are options for fancy drinks, too.
