Royal Scot Hotel & Suites

I've stayed here a couple times now. I love the vibe! The staff is amazing and helpful, and the guests are pleasant. Decent prices, comfortable rooms, and close to amenities.

Spacious rooms with a pet friendly section. Staff are friendly, as well there is a nice swimming pool and hot tub. Rooms are a bit “dated” but fits the style and location is prime. Been coming back year after year.

The rooms are a bit dated, but they are really nice, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was also quite comfortable.
The customer service is excellent, beyond measure! They were friendly, prompt, caring, and very accommodating.

Quaint hotel located in the harbor area. Rooms are a bit dated but fully equipped and clean.They have suites with fully equipped mini kitchens and utensils. On-site store with essentials and restaurant for Breakfast. Hotel also has a shuttle for short trips.
I would certainly return and recommend this hotel for a visit to the area.

Stayed here with my family, it is an older property but very well maintained. It is clean and very cozy with a nice dividing wall between sleeping and tv/kitchen area. Halls were clean and quiet. I loved how quiet it was on the balcony. The hotel is near the harbor but away from the noise of the main street. Good walking distance to the Harbour and downtown. Restaurant is clean and cozy with good food and service. Kids enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice team members at check-in and check-out. Nice and quiet location with very easy access to many amenities.

Stayed 5 nights in Aug 2023. Without a doubt the cleanest hotel I have seen in a while (walk out of the shower barefoot clean). Great location too. Only complaint is the size if the toilet seat - so tiny… Very well kept 3 star hotel from the 80’s.

Recent stay. Exceeded our expectations. When we checked in, they upgraded our room. Fantastic stay. Quiet. Close to everything, including short walk from ferry. Would definitely select this hotel again.

April 3-6, 2023. Great find for a moderately priced hotel within easy walking distance to the Victoria Clipper. Friendly staff, particularly Kevin who provided shuttle service when I was too pooped to walk to my next destination. Room was well appointed. I didn’t get to use the pool, but was impressed at how clean it appeared to be. So few folks shower before a dip, which is why I typically avoid hotel pools. The on-site restaurant provided a nice breakfast too!

I cannot speak more highly of this beautiful hotel, the suites are very large with every convenience including kitchen etc and small balcony. Our bus load of passengers were piped in with fully dressed Scottish piper.

We booked a last minute trip to Victoria and stayed at the Royal Scot Hotel and Suites. We were looking for a suite with a kitchenette and Royal Scot had amazing online reviews. The hotel exceeded our expectations and was an incredible, seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

The team were friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean, in addition we received a complimentary upgrade from a Queen to King bed suite. I was surprised at how comfortable the bed was and how relaxing the shower was - great water pressure.

Like Victoria, the hotel has an old world charm and was well maintained, both interior and exterior. The location was amazing and central, 1/2 block from The Parliament and in the heart of the famed Inner Harbour - we walked everywhere with ease. We would highly recommend this hotel and it was a wonderful experience for our family. Thanks for the memorable stay!

Great location, easy walking to downtown. The rooms are comfortable and I loved having the kitchenette for quick meals and snacks. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

The Royal Scot enjoys a central but tranquil setting.The suite we stayed in was generous in size & had all necessary facilities.We slept very well in our large airy bedroom.Any staff we met were very helpful.We would return.

We have stayed here many many times over the years.
The rooms are very well kept and comfortable.
The convenience of the hotels location make it easy to go in any direction on foot or by cab/car.
What really stands out is the friendly staff, in every position at the hotel. They make me smile and feel welcomed.
We will keep coming back as long as it stays open, for the comfort and ease of the staying here. This has been a special place for us and will continue to be.

Very nice full kitchen, second bed in it's own room. Main bedroom had a sofa and two upholstered chairs. Very nice!

We booked a package for ferry travel and lodging via the Black Ball Ferry Line, and this led to our discovery of this true gem.
What an absolutely AMAZING stay at an excellent property! The location was perfectly central to most of our interests and sights - all within walking distance. The room (we received an upgrade to the Royal Suite) was truly awesome.
Both the king bed in the master bedroom and the sofa sleeper in the living room were quite comfortable. The property does not have air conditioning in the rooms, and it was certainly not needed. The spacious living room, bedroom, and the well-equipped kitchen stayed comfortable with well-circulating air, using the two fans provided. The room was supplied with an iron & board, bath robes, plenty of extra towels, laundry bags, and even a selection of novels on the living room book shelf.
Overall, our expectations were far exceeded upon checking in, and we could not have been happier with The Royal Scot upon checking out!

Like renting out grandma's condo! Super large one bedroom suite with multiple sofa beds, a full kitchen and enough room for a dance party (but not after 10pm!) It's location is right downtown which is extremely convenient, and it's very affordable. Didn't have a chance to hang out in the billiards room but it's very well appointed. There is also a pool which we will need to check out next time. Love staying at the Royal Scot Hotel. We will be back!

Recommend this place is you want an affordable hotel close to the Victoria waterfront and all its amenities. It’s dated but cute and clean and very well managed and maintained. It also has a pool and games room and hundreds of DVDs to choose from to borrow to watch in your room. We only had one issue with the electrical where we could run the microwave while the fridge was on, pretty typical for older buildings. Overall would stay again.
