French-Asian modern style seafood cuisine that is mainly seafood with some vegetarian options and steak entrees. The food quality is superior and the food is fresh. All the fish is fresh out of water, and prepared with a keen sense of artistry that both the aesthetic principles of the plate itself and your palate will be savouring each morsel. The signature dish since 1997 is No1 Yellowfin Rare seared Tuna slices served over Yukon mashed potatoes infused with wasabi, flash fried bok choy, and a drizzle of miso vinaigrette. Another favorite is pan seared Halibut, miso sticky rice, garlic braised yucca, and finished with a lemon preserve demi glaze. Last but not least, panko crusted heirloom Fried green tomato, topped with thin layer of guacamole and lobster-jumbo lump crab salad piled inches high over the top of the fried tomato. This a treat to die for and it’s not something you will find anywhere. The ambiance is exclusively high end, white table cloths, candlelit rooms with very experienced servers who are extremely knowledgeable about all the different dishes and foods that mightn’t be common to the average person. Friendly and welcoming, they will be reciting the specials whilst opening your bottle of wine or champagne that you brought on your own. Note there is no bar here (as in many restaurants along the jersey shore especially long beach island). Reservations are a must during peak season (memorial day to Labor Day). You may get, on chance get a seat by walking in, if it’s not already fully booked. The interior is a beautiful shade of gray, with lots of mirrors to enhance the visual space of the room. It is a smaller sized venue, sporting only about 16 or 17 tables. Parties of 8 are usually the maximum number that they can fit at a table. Definitely a romantic place, certainly not child friendly, or a place that you want to get a “quick bite” after the beach. This is a place where you want to go with your adult friends or your significant other, dress nicely (neatly casual at least) and enjoy the food and company. Yellowfin is very Manhattan-esque, like a hot spot in soho or the upper west side. It would be safe to assume that the prices are equivalent to what you are getting. Appetisers range from $16-$28, and entrees range from $28-$75. But it’s worth every penny!!

My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years now. Yellowfin has always been consistent between the service and their unique dishes. The staff and their ambiance has always drawn us back every Summer. Highly recommend!

Love having dinner at Yellowfin! Jackie and crew are amazing. So accommodating. The food is outstanding. I’ve been dining at yellowfin since the beginning. Highly recommend going to this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

The food is absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable. My halibut was cooked to perfection and the yucca has such a better taste then any normal potato. Will absolutely go back

A cute swanky, easy cool vibe with a great sound system and exceptional delicious food… tuna pizza is cleaver and well thought out…scallop special was light summery and very plump… waiters did not let a water glass go empty .. we will return… end your meal with the peachy crunch!!! Yummmm Fresh tuna and bok choy is a staple👍🏻

Place is fire, you won't be disappointed. Worked and ate at fine dining establishments up and down the Jersey Shore, this is up there with the best. Tuna Tar Tar then Halibut, both delicious. Then this banana coconut dessert which was unbelievably good. I'm not a coconut guy but it was just a slight aftertaste. One of the best desserts I ever had and service was good too. Overall just a solid restaurant with their own little twist, and you're simply not gonna find a better meal on the island.

We celebrated my sister's 58th birthday here with our party of 6 foodies! We were warmly welcomed & attended to the whole meal by Gabriel. After ordering an assortment of excellent appetizers, we had main entrees of lamb chops, filet mignon, flounder, roasted duck, & seafood paella. Every entree was beautifully presented, perfectly prepared & totally delicious! Wonderful intimate atmosphere, personal attention & top quality food. Yellowfin...don't just sit there - do it!

A family favorite since the year it opened, the yellow fin is a defining part of family tradition. The food is top notch, one of the best meals you will have on the island hands down. Bring a good bottle and know you'll be eating well from start to finish, the desserts are superb.

went there last night with a party of 8, our waiter was was excellent and very helpful , portions a little small for the price point,ordered 5 appys and our entrees. i ordered paella,enjoyed it but could use some tweaking .all and all a great night.we shall return.

Our second trip and everything was amazing, again. Fresh and delicious. You can tell true care is put into the meals they create.

Once again a fabulous meal and outstanding service last night at Yellow Fin!! Fried tomato appetizer was yummy and the scallops w/risotto and mushrooms were to die for! Only sorry I come to LBI once a year.

Got take out tonight. BBQ shrimp and Charred Filet Mignon. Delicious and cooked to perfection. I didn’t get the name of the host, but she was professional helpful and absolutely charming, including refusing a tip. I’ll be back.

Hands down the best restaurant on the island. The staff is friendly and warm, the appetizers are fantastic, and the entrees are phenomenal. I come to the island for one week every year, and the Yellow Fin is one place I always eat at least one meal.

Another great experience at Yellowfin! Jackie and Blake took great care of us as usual. Great way to start the season! Been coming for 10 years still the best on LBI!

Food is absolutely amazing!

Have been dining here for over 6 years and it is always the best option on the island. It is not just good for beach food, it is great food, period! It's consistent and the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. While the menu is small and carefully selected waiting for the specials is always the highlight of the night. You just can't go wrong with choosing any of them. The local scallops are a melt in your mouth option, and definitely leave room for dessert. Under normal circumstances I'd never be likely to choose banana cream anything, but here I crave it. And the topper is that the restaurant is BYOB! Can't beat it. Every once in a while we decide to try something new on LBI and we are always disappointed that we wasted a night out and a babysitter and didn't get to YellowFin.
