Where to begin... The friendly atmosphere, clean environment, the best chefs or the most delicious sushi I have ever eaten in my life. The sushi rolls here are something summer sunset dinner memories are made of. What a place for a cozy out of season date night. The Google reviews here were the reason we picked this place. I hope my review will be a deciding factor for other reviewers. This is by far the best place to get Sushi in Long Beach Island. Just watching the chef make the rolls was so entertaining and enjoyable. The ambiance is a perfect setting. This is more of a take out place but they have a bunch of seats at the sushi bar to eat which is what where we sat. The owners wife is very knowledgeable and super friendly and was working side by side with both chefs. I will not only be back but will be a yearly regular during my stay on the Island.

Not cheap, but really outstanding sushi isn't cheap. Very fresh, perfect rice, crisp nori & a couple of creative items not on the menu. Only place on Long Beach Island I've found to know what Omakase means.

I'm a huge mango fan, and the specials were right up my alley! I watched them slice and dice the sushi in front of me, and the rice consistency was perfect! The flavors in the Mango Spicy Tuna and Mango Ahi Tuna were out of this world. One was garnished with jalapeno and the other had a sriacha mayo sauce in it. It was a perfect balance of flavor and spice. The staff were also wonderful and knowledgeable to talk to and made the experience that much better! I can hardly wait to go back for some Poke Bowls!

So lucky to have this on LBI. Definitely the best sushi place in ocean county. If your in the area you must go! Great quality, and tasting sushi and really nice people!

It’s not just that the fish is fresh, gorgeous, and tasty; the interplay of flavors while still remaining simple makes it truly outstanding. A must-try if you care at all about sushi.

Outstanding sushi, super fresh and tasty. Staff are great and helped me out on a quick mix up. This isn’t your usual take out sushi restaurant, this place is TOP quality, give it a try if you havent. I will be back every time I'm in LBI.

I've been going to Little Sumos since it opened. It was the first and best place I've ever had sushi from. Took my husband there last night for the first time and it did NOT disappoint! Their sushi looks pretty and tastes even better. This fish is flavorful, making the Rainbow Roll my favorite.

Very happily surprised at the excellant quality of sushi. This is going to be our yearly “beach week” place to go. The order does take a bit of time to prepare, but well worth it.

Great sushi place with an Americanized flair to it. You won't find the traditional salmon or tuna sushi roll here like you would at any Japanese restaurant. Instead, you will find rolls such as the California Almond Tempura roll...sushi with mango, advocado and almonds on top! Small bar top seating area. Great service and friendly staff!

Literally the best sushi I have ever eaten. I have eaten sushi at dozens of places and I have no problem saying that this is the best. My wife and I have been going to the island for the last 6 years and we always make a stop here. A++++ would recommend!

Great little place. There more setup for pickup service but they do have a small sushi bar if your a party of 2. The Rolls are delicious and sashimi was very fresh and high quality.

Since the day they opened Little Sumo’s has been a summer favorite. They have become family you want to spend time with and have dinner!

Very helpful and great service. They have gluten free options at no additional cost in many cases. We will certainly return and recommend to friends!
