I called the shop and Cody answered… I asked about guide services, but being out of season (and without missing beat), he pointed me to the right water and recommended the right flies. I was on the fish in no time. I’m grateful for his willingness to share local knowledge and the patience to unselfishness to help me without me feeling pressured. Thanks, Cody… I will visit the shop when I’m back in the area!

I booked a guided 1/2-day, 4-hour trip with Cody on the morning of September 22, 2022. Cody was very knowledgeable, a great instructor, and an overall good person to enjoy a morning of fishing. I learned a lot about fly fishing in Utah and had so much fun fishing the Beaver River! The Tushar Mountains area is amazing! Cody is one of the best guides I have ever used! Please visit the Lost River Angler shop if you are anywhere in the area of Beaver, Utah.

Cody the owner is the best. He has a ton of knowledge of the surrounding area, what the fish are hitting on and how to catch them.
Great fly shop. He has all the flies that work the best in this area.
If you are in Beaver stop in and say hi.

Stopped by the shop last week and found the owner Cody to be both very knowledgeable and helpful with information. I told him I wanted to both find some water where I could do some euronymphing, and also spend some time stillwater fishing over the next several days. Cody put me into some great water and great fishing. I'll be sure to give Cody a call before I make my next trip to the Beaver, UT area. Cody's approach to sharing useful basic information with other catch & release anglers is what fly fishing is all about. Thanks Cody.

My husband reached out to Cody for a fishing adventure while on our roadtrip honeymoon in Utah! Cody was absolutely awesome. For 2 people very novice to fly fishing, we had such a great time. Super knowledgable, a great teacher, and very entertaining! It was a very cold December day, so the fish were sleepy, but my husband caught 1 trout which was so so fun. We had such a fun day on the river, and can't wait to come back one day to try our new skills out. Thanks for a blast of a time, Cody!

I fished with Cody about two weeks ago and had a great day. Cody knows the area and took us to places where we saw no one else. We caught fish, that's nice. But more importantly, Cody is a great teacher and loves what he is doing. I can't recommend him enough, thanks Cody!

Great fly shop, Cody is a informative angler about his local waters and has always lead us on the right path. pick up some UV tying materials while you are here. The dubbing Lost river recommended has changed my Czech nymph game for sure.

We were Amazed and SO so Grateful to happen across Cody & Lost River Angler on our drive from Ca. to Denver! After hours on HWY 50 E (barren, long, hot & no reception) & having no luck in Milford, Ut. We got to the one stop light in Beaver, Ut. We were anxious because It was starting to get late & we needed; 1. a camping site for the night 2. a fishing licenses for Utah & 3. Ideas on where to fish...(!!!) When We turned left I saw the Lost River Angler sign painted on the window and I almost screamed to my husband to STOP!! Thank you CODY for saving us. He helped us secure licenses as well as telling us where to camp ( cottonwood campground was perfect! we stayed an extra night!) we successfully fished the Beaver River as well as Little Res. That is thanks to the flies & advice we got from Cody. He was super gracious and generous to a fault, & so friendly and cool. We absolutely loved driving over 153 to Junction. Thank you so much!! We will be back!
