Roberto's Dolce Vita

Great place for an Italian meal on Long Beach Island. The food came out so incredibly fresh that it took a couple minutes before I could even eat it. I highly recommend the penne alla vodka and the fried mozzarella. Both were incredible. This has been a staple in our family for years and we always enjoy going here for a good meal. Always make a reservation in advance and bring your own wine.

Best Italian restaurant on LBI, hands down! Very family friendly atmosphere and prompt service. We enjoyed the rice ball from the specials, the pesto tortellini, bolognese rigatoni (pasta dishes came with a side salad), cannoli and lemon sorbet for dessert with cappuccino. Everything was perfection, highly recommend!!!

This place has a very traditional, at-home feel to it. From the decor, to the layout of the restaurant , it definitely felt like we were guests in their home. Just hanging out in their living spaces while enjoying a delicious meal. Really enjoyed the vibes and the delicious food made it that much better. Would definitely recommend the Pesto Pasta, Alla Vodka pasta as well as their Mozzarella in Carrozza. We didn't see a kids menu / options. However the servings are quite hefty, so we ended up splitting 2 plates and an appetizer among the three of us and it was more than enough. In fact, we were not able to finish the meals. Believe me, we tried. We didn't have a place to store any leftovers, so we didn't want to leave anything behind because it was that good. We didn't have reservations on a Friday evening and we didn't have any issues. The place was lively but they were still able to find a table for us. It is BYOB. Easily one of the best meals we have had on the island.

Visited on 8/21 for dinner at 545! We were taken immediately to our table. The server was lovely, knowledgeable and personable. The food was 10/10 portion size was perfect especially because in our rental we didn’t have a microwave so we were worried if we had any left overs - although we were pretty hungry! We also got the summer sangria which was delish and really hit the spot with our meal. We also got the lava cake for dessert which was the perfect size. The one thing to note is parking - just like anywhere on the island it’s street parking on both sides. We were luckily to get a front parking spot but I saw many others driving around to find one. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! Thankful for such a lovely experience.

After being in Covid lockdown for over a year, experiencing bad food locally..It was so refreshing to walk in to an establishment where you are impressed from the entrance. A girls weekend we walked in the door and were attended immediately with Service and a Smile. The Server, Kyle, went above and beyond, we didn't have to ask for anything, steps ahead of us, was so appreciated, especially from a table of Moms. The food was astounding and the pictures I took don't do it justice. I just can't say enough everything was impeccable. BYOB and Reasonable Authentic Fresh italian food, I would have paid more. Kyle and Roberto, Thank you for an amazing experience, can't wait to come back!

Wow, this place was amazing. I grew up in an Italian family and am typically over critical of Italian restaurants because they don't use my grandma's sauce. It wasn't a problem here. While it wasn't my grandma's sauce, everything was prepared with the care my grandma put into her cooking. It was most definitely one of the top 5 Italian restaurant meals I have ever had. The room was perfect, the service was excellent, and the food was old Italian lady quality. Robert was awesome and was at the front of house greeting people as we walked in and circulating the dining room throughout the evening. I felt like I had been invited over an old friend's house for an expert home cooked meal. This is the perfect culinary experience for everyone, even if you think your grandma is the only person that can do Italian food right.

Excellent service. Ample outdoor space permits generous social distancing. Crab cake appetizer was very tasty. Chicken Scarpariello had delicious chicken, sausage and fresh vegetables... peppers, onions and mushrooms. The veal dolce vita had 3 pieces. Both has luscious sauces, but we added salt. Bottom line, worth a visit.

My husband John and I had the most wonderful meal at Roberto's on LBI. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Thank you Robert for another fantastic meal. Can't wait to come back!!

Absolutely amazing! Fresh ! Delicious! Everything we ordered was was fantastic! First time there but the staff acted as if they’ve known us for years .

We enjoyed our meals here. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server and bus boy were attentive. We both ordered from the specials and they didn't disappoint. My husband had broiled, stuffed shrimp over pasta and I have eggplant parmasean. Both were delicious! Everything from the bread, sangria, appetizers and dessert was delicious.

Went for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Owner introduced himself and reviewed the choices. Everything was delicious. I had the shrimp fettuccine. The thick cut pork chops were excellent and tender. Also could have chosen chicken or eggplant for main course. Everything was top notch. Would definitely go back. Friends told me that this place was just so so. But I think it was much better.

This Restaurant is exceptional. The staff/ owner were wonderful. The cuisine was Outstanding, delicious fresh. Make it a point to call for your reservation. We popped in and were seated immediately. Bob! They do sell bottles only.
Fantastic LBI Italian ♡

The food was fantastic! Robert comes over to the tables to see how everything was. Three of us had the stuffed shrimp with crab meat. It was excellent as always! All of us were very pleased with our meals. This is a great place for a seafood or steak dinner.

My full blooded Italian family and I came here for dinner a few nights ago vacationing in beach haven for the week. We were scrambling last minute to find reservations at other italian restaurants in the area and thankfully they were able to easily accommodate our party of 8 with 4 children. The service was fantastic - our waiter was very helpful and polite. The fresh bread to start was fantastic and we enjoyed the fresh oil / garlic to dip it into. We tried the stuffed eggplant as an appetizer and it was delicious A+. All dinners were served with a fresh salad… the blue cheese dressing was great. My girlfriend tried the penne vodka as her main dish and added chicken and it was phenomenal I would get this if we come again someday! I tried the chicken parm with penne and it was very good.. not the best I’ve ever had but satisfying nonetheless. Portion sizes were very big which we all appreciated. Fresh cheese for main courses and grounded pepper for the salads was a very nice touch. Also I will add that the prices here were very reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants we looked up in the area. Overall great experience and we definitely would visit again.

It was nice to go to a restaurant and have a leisurely dinner when you're not rushed to open the table up for the next person. Our meal was outstanding. The ingredients were fresh and each entree was made to order. I will definitely go back again.

I don’t often get compelled enough to write a review. In this case I’ll keep it simple. Service was so wonderful and attentive, food was delicious, the dolce vita veal was tender and amazing. Shrimp and pasta were high quality and fresh. For a higher end family dinner, I was so pleased and would suggest to anyone to give it a whirl special occasion or just a nice evening away from the regular haunts on lbi

We’ve been coming to LBI for many, many years and Roberto’s is always a given that you’ll get a great meal. Don’t know why people complain that it takes so long for the meal. Ummmm, it’s made to order so you’re getting a fresh meal. It’s always and I mean ALWAYS a great meal. Mozzarella en Carrozza was delicious as was the calamari for starters. Gamberi Francese was excellent as was all the other dishes. We were a party of 11. We had one vegetarian in the party and our waiter who btw was absolutely on his game went back to talk to the chef what he can make for the vegetarian in our group. She was quite happy with the selection as well. Remember it’s a BYO but they partner up with the local Sharrott winery so you can purchase wine from them here at the restaurant. If you are on the island do NOT miss a fantastic meal from Roberto’s.
