Glade Run Recreation Area - BLM

Visit weekly..Noone bothers anyone. Very few campers unless they have an event going on. Lots of trails. Great rockhounding spots.

Although the public areas were closed (due to Covid) we were able to utilize the dispersed camping spots along Glade Run Rd. Very fun area for UTVs, ATVs & motos. Locals came and put on a rock crawling show behind our camp one night too!

Awesome camp spot! Quiet and peaceful. Came in our 40ft 5th wheel and got the last spot available, on a Monday. Was a snug fit and were hanging off the back a bit, but no real problems fitting rv and truck.

Road was a bit sketchy, but we made it no issues. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again.

Read reviews and thought we would give it a try since no rain was in the forecast. Pulling a 30 ft travel trailer with a Suburban. Got stuck in the ravine that was really rutted up. Cleared some of the sand away from my trailer tires and was able to break it free in 4 wheel drive. Only 2 other campers on site and one has a Ford 350/450 camper with 2wd. He powered through but was worried about his decision. Spending the night as I’m sure there will be a lot of 4WD vehicles on site come Saturday morning if we do get stuck again as we are leaving. Some reviews said big rigs could make it. I would not advise it. Once you start down the sand/direct road, there is not really a good place to turn around until you reach the campground.great scenery and peaceful area, but you better be prepared if you get stuck.

Its a place to four wheel. With a dune buggy, four wheeler, or dirt bike or a place to even team up and shoot your paintball guns. Very fun!! But i does get pretty dusty there

Amazing scenery, fresh air, the soothing scent of sage, and also some incredibly BADASS TRAILS!! If you're not from around this area, or just have never cruised out there, YOU NEED TO GO!!

So much fun! So many options for all types of off-roading. From stock, to modded Jeeps to buggies! Lots of fun.

Great camp area. Excellent event site. World class rock crawling. Keeping. Mountain biking. Hiking. Horseback riding. Indian ruins. Petroglyphs. Wildlife. This place has it all!!!
