Polly's Freeze

This is a great old fashioned hamburger. I had the PollyBurger. Well worth it. They don't have any indoor seating, but it was a nice say and had plenty of outdoor seating. Their ice cream is really good also. Friendly service and overall great place.

. Polly's Freeze (since 1952 !) is a great roadside ice cream stand that also sells food.
. They have ice cream treats (cones, shakes, floats, sundaes, etc.) as well as food (hamburgers, cheeseburgers, pork tenderloin sandwiches, fries, slaw, etc.)
The menu (posted on a series of sign boards) is extensive.
. I had a cheeseburger, dressed (lettuce, tomato & mayo), some coleslaw, and a root beer float. Everything was great.
. This ice cream stand is located on a state road, out in the country. It's charming, old-timey place. The food is very good.
. You stand in line to place your order at the order window, and then pick up your food at the other walk-up window. There is no indoor dining area, but there are outdoor picnic tables (some located under a porch overhang) where you can sit and eat.
. On a nice day, there will be a line, and a wait to get your food. It's worth it.

Polly's Freeze has been a fan favorite sine I was a teen. This place offers some amazing flavors of ice creams, shakes, malts, sodas, smoothies and floats. The server several all-American foods from hamburgers, fried fish, chicken tenders, and even corn dogs. While you probably won't loose weight after a Polly's freeze meal, you will certainly earn brownie points with the kids. One great feature of this ice cream stand is that they are open till 9:00pm during their peak season Plenty of picnic tables set up for outdoor dining.

We have lived here in Indiana for 5 years and heard how amazing Polly's Freeze is. Well we finally stopped today to eat lunch. We were not disappointed! The hotdog, fries and black raspberry sundae was amazing!! We will be going back real soon!! Please try it out if you're in the area!!

Such a cool little place to grab a bite or for most, some ice cream! For such a little place the menu is huge! It's a sit outside atmosphere. Don't find many places like this anymore

We went on Sunday afternoon, that's just how good the milkshakes are. The parking lot was at full capacity and the line was 20 deep in the 90 degree sun. No one complained because the servers at Polly Freeze have customer service down to a fine art. The strawberry milkshake was amazing with really strawberries, not just syrup. There's a reason this place has been around for better than 50 years.

Great ice cream , definitely coming back again food a burger. Great classic atmosphere.

Burger was good... what u would expect from a roadside place.. service was good they clearly have a good system for handling large amounts of guests and it works! lots of nice outside seating! very enjoyable spot to have a bite and a sweet treat!

Oh my goodness. Super cute ice cream stop! Perfect place for hot summer days, which it was when we stopped. Looked like it's a local favorite as well. Outdoor seating under tree canopy. Fun little spot!

I have been coming to polly freeze since I was a kid. They have always had the best milkshakes.

Food is cooked to order, nice and hot. Drinks were cold ,lots of ice cream choices.

The Ice-cream is amazing. You can enjoy Polly Freeze with the whole family. IT is not expensive. This was a 8 out of 10 for my first time. They were fast even with a long line. This is a Great place to try.

The weekly Sherbet (or Sher-ber) depending on how you say it... was lemon! Love! We can't get enough and this is a must stop when we are home from North Carolina.

If you don't love it here, please try a different ice cream or go to your nearest hospital as something is seriously wrong

If you grew up in small town Americana, Polly's Freeze will bring back those summertime childhood memories you have of ice cream, slushies, smoothies, hot dog and hamburgers. A great place to visit, even if you don't live in Georgetown, Corydon, Lanesville or right nearby.

So nice to go to a place from the 50's in the country...eat ice cream outside at picnic tables in the shade. Heavenly ! Huge selection of all sorts of cold treats...

Been coming here since I was a kid still the best ice cream ever! Blu Goo has gotta be my favorite hands down.

Went there last night and it was a very nice experience. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. All of the improvements have been really nice. Ownership is top notch!! Will for sure be back!!!
