➕ Shalom! 🙏
➕ They accommodate big groups well. We have a big family. They were courteous, compassionate, and went out of their way to honor me as a vegetarian. The food was delicious. They made my grandson's birthday party excellent. 📖
➕ Godspeed! 👼

We had our Company Christmas party here last Thursday. Kathy and Darryl were so helpful in planning the party and went out of their way to make sure that everything went perfectly. The food was absolutely great! We had chicken, roast beef, and ham.
Everyone had a wonderful time and I can definitely say it was the best Christmas party we've had in 43 years!
Shout out to Sara, our waitress, and all the staff that pitched in to help. It was an awesome experience!
Definitely going here next year!

My wife had introduced me to this place back when we were dating, and we had the pleasure of enjoying a meal here one more time with family and friends prior to getting married.

This place has a ton of history, with each room's decor being different than the previous. The restaurant is split into many dining rooms, each accommodating quite a bit of seating.

This place serves family style meals, American style. The fried chicken is a must when choosing your protein (moist crispy and massive pieces!), and there's a medley of sides that you can choose from! We typically choose corn, mash and green beans, but the last time we went we had German potatoes (cooked in a cast iron skillet) and coleslaw also. Proteins include fried chicken, roast beef, ham, catfish etc.

The coleslaw wasn't the best. It's a vinegar based dressing and holds a straw raw cabbage taste. The corn and green beans are definitely canned; however, these do not detract from the overall meal as the proteins are amazing!

Service is always stellar for a restaurant of the size. Dessert is to die for.

Definitely worth checking out. It's dirt cheap per person at ~$14!

It was a long day on the road, 96° and high humidity, so it was a pleasure to find this historic Inn and then discover the food was simple comfort family style and delicious. The menu was small, but there were plenty of Midwest choices. Took dessert to go, German Chocolate cake and Caramel Apple Nut pie. Service was so fast, like less than 4 minutes from ordering, hot, delicious and our waitress was sweet and efficient, pleasant and deserved a great trip. Huge parking lot for 200+ cars was 60% full upon arrival, we got there about 7:15, and just about empty when we left. I highly recommend Log Inn for Midwest comfort food.

This historic restaurant is a great place to have dinner, especially if you have a large group or a special occasion. They only accept cash or check no cards but there is an ATM on the premises. Their claim to fame is that Abe Lincoln ate there and it is likely. Dinner can be served family style and I assure you that you will take food home. The do take reservations but only for large groups so plan ahead. They are quite busy.

Always an exceptional experience. I was with a group of 15. We were seated on time to our reservation. Our waitress did a wonderful job of keeping track everything that we needed. The food was absolutely amazing. Very highly recommend.

Amazing food in an elegant yet old-timey atmosphere. If it was good enough for Abraham Lincoln, it's definitely good enough for me, and that was certainly the case.

Can't wait to go back. We loved the old timey atmosphere. Our group of 6 dined family style. The meats we chose were chicken (both light & dark) and ham. We had the standard sides that they offer. The food was excellent.
Our server was very attentive and basically knew what we needed before we did. Lol
I feel we received excellent value for what we spent to feed this crew.

What a great place it's the oldest restaurant in Indiana. Also visited by Abraham Lincoln. Service was great and the food was like grandma used to make.
Family style is the way to go.
Also the only take cash or check so plan ahead.

The oldest restaurant in Indiana - it was once a stage coach stop, and Abraham Lincoln stopped here. What an interesting place, with great history! We were camping nearby, and knew that this was our choice for dinner on Friday night. We were lucky enough to be seated in the historic section of the restaurant, which really made our day. The service was great, and the food was also great! It’s family style, but everyone chooses their protein. I had a plate of 6 chicken legs - highly recommend.

Everyone is so friendly, the food is delicious, and it's reasonably priced! We had 3 huge chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy, slaw, 4 rolls, chocolate pie and coconut cream pie. $23! Fresh tasty - one of the best meals I've had in ages! I forgot to post pics before we ate because we were so hungry but here are a couple!

The historical appeal drew me to this restaurant. The DELICIOUS food, good price, and lovely waitress will keep us coming back! I've gotta try that fried chicken it sounded wonderful.🤤 Wonderful entrees with family style sides, a dollar extra and you add fried taters to the table!! 🤯🤯 It was well worth the two hour drive.

Awesome service and free parking. Highly recommend the family style with all the sides. You can take the meat home but not the sides. So do your best to eat as many sides as you want and ask for more. We had chicken and ham and chicken liver.
We had the best server ever!!!

A southern Indiana classic for home style cooking! I’ve only had the family style fried chicken dinner, but it checks every box for those looking for a feast. Warning: they only except cash, but have an atm near the front door. The service is warm and inviting so I’d recommend anybody to make the drive to The Log Inn.

Food is always great. Service is sometimes really slow. I think the poor waiters are overworked with too many tables.

Place is cash or local check only. There is an atm on site though

First time customer here. The place reminded me of a more country version of Paula Deans. The food was top notch and the waitress we had was friendly and very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be going back to try other things on menu, but the country ham was spot on.

Friendly server and good fried chicken at an excellent price. This is a big causal restaurant. Family style is the way to go with 3 or more people as you get lots of sides. The sides are good. We liked both the German potato salad and the coleslaw. They have a full bar. There is some history to this place, too.
