Sassafras Lunch & Tea Room

We went here for a birthday party. The style and feel of this tea room was so cute and cozy. There were lots of little touches that were so sweet. Like a set of salt and pepper shakers that were tea pots. There were lots of tea options on the list. I had the adult grilled cheese. It was pretty good. I didn't make any changes or amendments. I also got the chicken velvet soup. Yum! I'm not a fan of scones, but my table mates said they were okay. The service was not bad. There were a lot of us and it can be challenging to keep up with all of the demands with only three people. I would love to come in again with just myself and my daughter to get a true feel for their service. I will definitely go again.

Good atmosphere. Food was good for the most part. Scones were dense and unflavored. Different teas were great.

We hosted a bridal shower here. What a great experience!! Kristi was wonderful to work with in terms of planning. Cheryl was so helpful and kind, and Susan took great care of us! Everyone raved about the food and the experience. The quiche, chicken salad, croissants, scones, and dessert variety plates were wonderful and served promptly. Everyone was delighted! Thank you!

This was a super cute tea room with excellent decorations, and a very quaint menu of tea, lunch, desserts, and snacks! We barely made it there in time before they closed but the server was friendly nonetheless. I would love to get a teapot next time and maybe try more of the decaf tea flavors and any of the more unique or sugar-free desserts, if they had any. I enjoyed the lavender and lace decaf!

The Sassafras tea room was wonderful to have my 60th birthday party at! They were super helpful and easy to work with and the food and atmosphere was wonderful! Thank you all so much!!!

Wow, what a unique and nice way to spend a birthday. The owner and staff are lovely people. The tea and food are classy and delightful. And make sure you peruse the gift shop!

My family hosted a bridal shower tea party for me at Sassafras! It was absolutely adorable! The shop is so cute and has such a big personality. The food was incredible - finger sandwiches and desserts - not to mention the tea itself! So many different wonderful options! The service was phenomenal throughout the event. It is obvious that they truly care about their customers. Overall - highly recommend Sassafras for all of your tea party needs!

This place was better than expected!!!! We surprised the kids with this. Truthfully it was fun for all of us. We went with the Dutchess. Really only way to go if you're doing Tea time. We called because we were ahead of schedule traveling from out of town. They were very accommodating and got us in ahead of time. Service was great. Love the decor. Met the owner. She was great! We will be seeing her again. O ya. The tea was amazing. We had the raspberry truffle and the chai. The deserts were amazing the cake was my favorite along with the strawberries. Which were the kids favorite.

Great Experience! Really loved the multiple Tea options. The Atmosphere is wonderful. It is pricey, so be prepared. Because of the price and location, it might be only a once of year kind of thing. Enjoy!

The high tea was great. Finge sandwiches were good. The desserts were over the top. Super fresh and delicious. Plan to go again soon

We had a baby shower there and it was wonderful for 25 people. The service and food including the cake was exceptional. We loved working with the event coordinator, Kristi.

I went to a surprise birthday party on Dec. 23rd. This is a quaint and lovely place with delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere!

A very cozy eclectic little place with a nice ambiance and wonderful staff. The owner is absolutely super and friendly. It's my favorite place to take my 15 yr old granddaughter for our time together.

Came here for a Christmas brunch with one other person. The waitress was very nice, food was delicious, and although we were at a two person table by a walk way, I felt like we had enough room and were able to carry on a conversation. Will definitely be back.

An absolutely delightful experience. We made reservations for a party of 5 for afternoon tea, having never been here before and wanting to check it out. The tea itself was lovely and we were spoiled for options. Tea service includes a pot each of two varieties and it was legitimately difficult to makes up our minds, because we wanted to try 5 or 6! We settled on the lavender and the raspberry truffle (and someone had their own cup of apricot cream). All were delightful, though personally the lavender was my least favorite. The sandwiches and treats were all delicious, especially the cucumber sandwiches that have a little horseradish. Oh, and the petit fours were incredible! Some of us also had to try the chicken velvet soup which was nice as well. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly, which made added to the the experience greatly.

We had my sons 30th birthday here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing, calm, and pretty. Thanks so much! I am definitely adding this to my favorite places.

Went here for bridal shower. Staff service was great. Setup and atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. Excellent tea choices. Highly recommend. I was there as a guest.

My sister and I came here for the experience and to consider Sassafras for a bridal shower. It more than exceeded our expectations. This includes the atmosphere, ambiance, decor, food and the amazing staff. We couldn’t be happier with it and will be having the bridal shower here without a doubt. The owner also came out to greet us and asked if we enjoyed ourselves. She also gave us the history behind the establishment. They offer more than just bridal showers too such as birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, Bible studies and more. It was completely worth it, the entire experience from start to my belly is too full! Thank you for such an amazing time and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Recent Tea Party and everything was really nice. There was another event and we were concerned about parking but it all worked out. Lots of compliments about the Tea Room. Will definitely go back..Cons: Parking

My friends and I greatly enjoyed our visit here. Prices are a bit higher than your average tea room. I enjoyed the chicken salad croissant and felt it was a generous serving. The atmosphere was relaxing. Multiple choices available in teas. A favorite of our entire group was the bread pudding...dont miss it no matter how full you are!
