Cutest place in a college town! Food was delish! Service was fantastic. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was perfect.

Quaint little restaurant. Corned beef hash is freshly made with real potatoes, and make sure you ask for extra corned beef.

Breakfast at The Runcible Spoon is a MUST when you visit Bloomington! We had a half order Home Fries with Veggies & Cheese added. Also the Chef's Omelet with a side of gravy. All of it was very good. I also had an Iced Mocha coffee that was huge and mocha-ee and delicious. Loved it!!

This is one of our favorite breakfast places in B-Town. It’s always busy on weekends, but that’s to be expected with how popular it is. They get you taken care of quickly though so if there is a wait, it’s worth it. Food is fantastic, and the ambiance enhances the whole experience. If you haven’t been here yet, make it a priority to go check them out.

Went here during a break in my conference schedule. Loved the food (ie. grilled salmon salad + tomato soup) and service. Thanks for the welcome to Bloomington!

Great outdoor patio and excellent service. The spoon chicken was amazing the pancakes are enormous.Salmon salad was good but salmon was a little overdone.. Be careful as we were charged 5.50 for a very small fruit cup. Overall everything was really good.

I always enjoy eating at this place! Every meal I've ever had here has been fantastic and the service is always on point. Great spot to bring family and friends including the furry 🐕 ones. The outdoor seating and sun coming down today was a great start to our morning 🌅

I come frequently to buy bulk tea of their amazing lapsang souchong bergamot tea blend "Moscow Nights".

I've been for breakfast and lunch and dinner a handful of times and have always enjoyed my meal, (excellent food, staff, etc.) but I spend the most time there buying tea, which, I appreciate that the barista staff and owners are willing to accommodate this and really love that they sell their teas wholesale!

For the sake of the staff I recommend to buy tea during an off hour (i.e. 4pm on a Saturday) but even when it's been busy the staff are more than happy to accommodate my purchase. The place always has a very laid-back welcoming atmosphere, and I appreciate it!

My favorite brunch place in Bloomington! It is slightly busy but if you get there early, you can usually get a seat outside even on a Saturday. My go-to order is the Salmon and Croissant Bennie and a flavored latte. I bring all my visitors/guests in Bloomington to this place, and they have also all loved it!

Allows dogs in the outdoor eating area!! Coffee was delicious. Pancakes were massive and superb! Bacon and Omelet was fantastic. Would absolutely recommend!

Salmon canapés wre perfection. Staff friendly. The place is lovely. Will definitely eat here again. .

I travel for work right now, which gives me an opportunity to explore local food options. I chose Runcible Spoon at random, and fell in love the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff are welcoming, the coffee and food were SO good!! I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which surprised me because it came on a croissant, but that wasn’t even the best part. The hollandaise was so good I wanted to give the biggest hug to whoever made it. Seriously, that good. Wonderful spot!

This place is amazing! They were waitlisting when I arrived but the staff was super accommodating and kind even though they were all busy.

I loved seeing how they all helped one another and made sure everything flowed well and all customers were served and had what they needed.

I dined inside on the main level which is lovely and quaint and does feel like breakfast in an old charming bookstore, lol. I was originally seated across from the very busy restroom and when asked to be reseated they moved me with no problem!

The food. OMG, the food. There were so many items I wanted to try so I sampled alot. There was plenty to take with me. The salmon croissant was perfectly prepared and just the right balance of texture, salty, and sweet (from the croissant). The hash was so good, and the one pancake is more than enough for one person. I was expecting a bit more from the chai latte I ordered but I was not disappointed by the hot cider I got on my way out. This is probably my new favorite breakfast place.

The only complaint I have is about water refilling. The person refilling water that day camebto refill my cup, without asking. You'll know soon why I don't like water refills...She rested the pitcher on the cup as she went table to table. I asked her for a fresh cup, then explained to her how cross contamination works. She brought me a new cup, listened to what I said politely, then proceeded to continue refillng cups the way she had before. I just avoided anymore water, lol. Otherwise, the experience was amazing.

Make sure you tip your staff! They are doing a full workout up and down stairs, from front to back of house, all to make sure you're good. THAT deserves some extra monetary love!

Amazing coffee. Mint Mocha it is. I have never had something so good. Being a big fan of mint flavors. This was really refreshing and with coffee, it was perfect.
Ambience is cute. Very pretty.

THE BEST dining experience for special night. The servers were super friendly and professional, and my wife was so happy being in such a beautiful place for a dinner. They got the best eggs benedict, too.

I had breakfast there last Sunday and ordered the Chef's Choice Omelette. This choice did not disappoint as the corned beef (made in-house and is to DIE for), mushrooms, and cheese again have me wanting to drive the 1.5 hours from Indianapolis for a repeat order. My companion ordered a veggie omelette, but took a taste of the corned beef hash and was equally impressed (and jealous). They also have the hash on another menu item, so it's going to take me a few trips back. Outstanding corned beef hash!

Definitely a quirky little restaurant. Has upstairs and downstairs area dining. Attentive and friendly staff. We ordered chai latte, salmon hash and chef's special omelette which has corned beef, mushrooms, onions and I believe swiss or provolone cheese... The salmon was flavorful and some good sauce that went with it. Chai latte was cozy and warm. The omelette though was lacking in flavor. Very bland but it was stuffed plenty.. just needed salt or some spices in general. Would definitely go back to try other things because supporting local is always a great thing! Street parking at this area. Keep up the good work everyone!

Lovely, eclectic dining close to the Indiana University campus. The food has never disappointed us!

Variety of fares on the menu both in price and options. Heartily recommend the Black Russian sandwich!

Excellent breakfast. We had eggs, toast, fried potatoes and pancakes. Everything was very well prepared. I had a mint mocha and my wife had a caramel macchiato. The macchiato was very strong, maybe two shots of espresso. My mint mocha was very good. Highly recommended.

Great service! Took the family there when we were vacationing at lake Monroe! Worth the 30 minute drive with two screaming kids! Biscuits seem homemade, potatoes well seasoned! Everything was on point!
