Wise Pies doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

This place is almost hidden away, being sandwiched between other businesses. It doesn't seem like the place to get much foot traffic, and every time we've been, they haven't had many patrons. Despite that, expect prompt service, sociable staff, ample tables to sit at, a modern restaurant atmosphere, and downright great pizza!

We once tried the Crab Rangoon pizza on a whim, and it turned out to be one of our favorite pizzas ever. If you're ever in the Terre Haute area, and in need of some pizza, this is the quintessential pizza establishment in the city, bar none.

We ordered the pizza with vegan cheese. I'll have to say that not only was the pizza fantastic but the vegan cheese melted beautifully. Best pizza in Illinois, better than anything in Chicago. The crust reminded me of nopalitano style - so it's better eaten in house

Best pizza in Terre Haute hands down! If you want authentic NY style slices they have it. Every time I am here I see the owner here as well making sure every pie is up to his standard.

Absolutely love this pizza. Pizza in the Midwest is nothing more than mediocre bread with sweet sauce on it and processed cheese. But as a New Yorker born and raised this place has been by far the best pizza I’ve had in Indiana and the closest to the authentic pizza you’d get in New York

The best pizza in town! Don't skip the breadsticks or Greek salad; they perfectly accompany the authentic New York style pies. High quality ingredients, warm, genuine hospitality and generous outside seating make this local pizza shop unique. Make sure to stop and read their daily "Wise Words" too - it'll put a smile on your face before you even walk in!

Flavorful THIN crust pizza! If you’re conditioned to prefer the ‘pizza bread’ sold at so many other places, this might not be for you. The crust was thin and crispy with flavorful toppings. Service was spot on and the atmosphere comfortable. Definitely will be back.

Great local pizza place. Our kids love splitting a slice and enjoying a breadstick. I love the slices of Specialty Pizzas while my husband enjoyed a calzone. Offers indoor and outdoor seating depending on your preference. We sat inside to corral the kids. Bathrooms are located upstairs in the office building which isn't ideal for little kids but my kids enjoyed exploring.

Phenomenal small local joint. By far the best in Terre Haute. On the pricy side, but worth it every now and then. I strongly recommend this place. Some other reviews are highly inaccurate. The pies are not bland. I’ve eaten here for 4 years religiously and this is THE best in town.

My favorite pizza place ever. Fav is the WOW pizza. Thin crust is my favorite so this place is perfect. If you get the combo (one pizza slice with bread sticks) it will fill you up. I would definitely advise getting an entire pizza you're hungry because three silces cost the same price as a full pizza. Restaurant is cozy inside with an old school vibe. I enjoy sitting outside when weather permits during lunch and chatting with friends.

have to say was best pizza hands down best pizza I've had in Terra Haute, I had hot honey pepperoni and wife had regular pepperoni. We will go again.

Finding it a challenge to get just a quick slice in Terre Haute, IN (I'm use to getting easy slices any time anywhere) I stumbled upon Wise Pies and I was not disappointed at all! The pizza was well cooked. The cheese to sauce to dough ratios were really on point for any NYC style pizza that is not in NYC. The service was great and it was so good I had to get a second slice for the road. Out of the few places I had time to visit while in town, Wise Pies tops the list by a decent margain. I hope to come back soon!

Great pizza nice to have a NY style right here in terre haute the crust is thin but too thin and not over crispy plenty of toppings to select from and other menu items available like Stromboli , calzone and breadsticks will be back to enjoy

Had a large pizza that was absolutely amazing. Perfect crust and fresh meat and veggies. Very good tomato sauce.

Absolutely love their calzones! If you are new to the area and want a great place to eat then you have to check out Wise Pies. Better than any chain pizza place. Theses pies are crafted to perfection.

The NY style pizza is awesome but the calzones are where it's at. They are huge and delicious.

Never miss this place when in Terra Haute. Love their pizza!

Definitely casual dining but super yummy pizza, especially the Margherita!

I’m from NY but I have lived in Illinois for the past 12 years. I have been trying pizzerias that claim to have NY pizza since I moved and aside from a place in South Florida this is the only place that is legit. I was in Terra Haute last year for the NXR and the last thing I was looking for was a real slice. Thank goodness my son still has 3 more years of NXR. I’m so excited to get a pie next weekend!!

The pizza is amazing! Not too thick or heavy. Grilled Italian sub will make two meals.

A weekly treat for me! If you’re driving through on I-70 it’s absolutely worth the short drive up US 41 for lunch or dinner, you won’t regret it.

Wow super tasty, great salad and the pizza was crispy and the dough was great. Worth it to eat here. Friendly service too ❤
